Billy was slipping over all night, on the first return kick in the second half, they even made the comment that he had not changed his boots at half time after slipping over many times in the first half. Definitely slipped as he passed it.

I also think there was intent
Intent to hit late and hit hard
There was no intent to hit high and knock out cold.

Blocked was embarrassing in that debate, he just got louder and louder and kept cutting everyone off. Relegate him to nrl360 and leave stereo show for decent debate by intelligent people.

Parkers response, along with Ennis and stereo was to just look at him with disdain like the loud mouth dinosaur he is. Get him off the proper shows and put him on the mouthpiece show with Kent and rothfield.

Clenched fist and swinging arm, it's not exactly a great tackle technique! I'd say there was intent to hit him late and his style of tackling was always open to a bad outcome.

If people want to see how slick sporting organisations engage the media, look up the various college football Fall Camp schedules. The NRL clubs are so far behind in engagement with the media compared to the competition that it is actually a good thing. If we started getting that right the game could explode.

I asked The Tele a heap of questions about why they linked the Bulldogs to their story about a man who was arrested over an alleged terror plot to hijack a plane.

All you need to know:

"This is a very significant investment for us. We've always believed that this is the premium code in Australia – it's the national game," Murdoch said.
"We're very happy to be doing this. We believe in the strength of the game and we'll do everything we can to make it stronger."

Yes that's true, don't trust NEWS CORP or any journalist, they do not have the games interests at heart they have their instructions & will follow them.
If you want to stop head high chest high that just slipped up,BAN tackles with 3 or more in them & teach the players that a man cant run if your around his bootlaces, thats what I was taught back in the 60s when I played in Perth.

Back Page has officially gone full Victorian, all the panelists are Victorians and every episode this year they have dedicated at least 15mins to AFL and about 4mins maximum to NRL. They aren't even trying to hide it anymore.

Why do RL writers insist on using headlines that creating a damaging image for the game?
even if the article goes on to counteract the headline? Classic case this week with Andrew Websters story on the NRL's failures in the strategic plan. Whilst he goes on to acknowledge that in some areas they have done ok and some they have failed, and that RL is going ok just not as good as we had hoped, he led with the headline:

Is rugby league dying? The numbers that should concern every league fan

And Rothfield a couple of months ago, facts disputed by Phil Gould who gave the real stats that showed jnr numbers in the Western Sydney region are booming

Rugby league’s $100m plan to stop game dying in former heartland

No of course RL isn't dying, why even put it out there that it is a possibility? f**k off "RL" journos and your death riding!

And to think they used to promote it as part of the RL coverage ( before the RL channel)
