NRL introduces Spectator Code of Conduct

We can all joke about it, but this is actually pretty concerning.

Those rules are so broad and vague that effectively any fan that annoys a player, ref, official, or stadium staff can be ejected and face a ban. It's only a matter of time before some dickhead with a chip on their shoulder or overzealous security guard abuses that power.

After a few incidents in the last couple of years (mostly around racial abuse) I think this is purely a legal thing to help strengthen the NRL's case if they want to bring action against someone.

You only have to look at recent events at ALeague games where spectators were denied entry or ejected for having the hide to protest the GF decision

To be fair the attitudes of fan bases is very different. Sokkah fans will organise league wide boycotts and walkouts. NRL fans sort of just accept things. That said the A-League has a dreadful TV deal making it more vulnerable to fans not showing up.

Indeed, or in fact a defence if someone was banned for say multiple games or years and thjey tried to go to court to get it over turned arguing there was nothing in existence which said this kind of punishment could occur.
