It's greed. So many people involved in running the NRL are former players, and not enough businesspeople. I don't think they understand if they lowered the licensing fees to a reasonable level, all their merchandise would be cheaper and it would create more demand and more profit overall.I saw christmas chocolates (advent calenders) at Coles the other day. The Cartoon ones like Toy Story etc were $3, the Broncos and Coyboys ones, same brand, same size were $8. It's got to be the NRL licensing fees. Ridiculous.

Supply and demand, you dont like it, dont f**king buy it.
How about you respond to the argument being made instead of going off on ridiculous tangents.yeah, how dare our administrators try and make lots of money... greedy bastards... anyone would think they're trying to run a sporting competition... or even EXPAND one in the future!
we whinge that players move to england... union... whatever... and now we're whinging that jersey prices.. ticket prices... membership prices... are all too high?
i'm sorry ladies, you can't have your cake and eat it too. we're making buckleys from the TV deal, the cash has to come from somewhere.

Noone has said the NRL shouldn't think about profits or expanding. Of course they should. That doesn't make overpriced licensing fees and overpriced merchandise ok. Lowering the price to a reasonable level would increase demand and overall profit.
Greed is good. Greed wrapped in a layer of low business IQ is idiotic and counter productive. And that's what we have with the NRL and how they're handling merchandise.
Because not every body has the common sense of a dodo.Oh really? How do you know these facts?

lol, apparently BunniesMan knows the ins and outs of the supply chain, the margins on the gear and all other costs associated with putting a jersey on a clothes rack in a shop.
Comparing NRL merchandised products to rival sports shows there is no excuse for the current prices. If it does cost more to make our gear than we're in partnership with the wrong people. If it doesn't cost more than the prices should be lowered.lol, apparently BunniesMan knows the ins and outs of the supply chain, the margins on the gear and all other costs associated with putting a jersey on a clothes rack in a shop.
