Panthers will stand Tyrone down. Greenberg won't have to lift an eyeball.

Well the NRL stood him down in the end.

According to reports in today's Sydney Morning Herald, yesterday the Panthers were waiting for the NRL to stand him down whilst the NRL were waiting on the Panthers to do it.

Obviously not, since that is what seems to have happened and the cops have charged him. You only have to send it to one person. You don't think Tyrone May would have put pornographic images of himself in the public domain two weeks before the start of the season, do you?

It will be taken into account if he's guilty that it was only a small group he disseminated to, if that is indeed the case.

You seem to have totally missed the point, in fact you have said would be taken into account that it was only sent to a small group.

You still havent answered my question. How many of his mates does he have to share a video of him rooting a chick before the chick gets hurt. Its ok if its only a small group? How small? 5?10?

These young guys LIVE on social media. If May sent this video to a "small" group on whatsapp, then HE is responsible for it being spread. He handed them a loaded gun.

Here's what I don't get. Liam Coleman is charged with indecently assaulting a woman and the nrl don't lift a finger. Yet he finds himself in a sex tape and the panthers stand him down. If Greennerd is so serious about player behavior being charged, bringing the game into disrepute then why didn't they suspend Coleman like JDB Musgrove were Seems like punishment by amount of media outcry to me

Any defense of May's actions, including yours, is classless.
Trouble is, I did not defend May's actions. Could you point out where I did?

Comments that imply that this is only an issue because of the alleged identity of the girl in the video are classless and wrong.

Not what I said. I said it is an issue because it was an NRL player with a profile. If it were not a person with a profile it may have found its way onto a porn site, but it would not have received the widespread exposure it did, leading the females involved to complain.

You do realise that this sort of thing is going on every day among people of this age group, male and female, and yet no-one is getting charged. Why do you think that might be?

The NRL clubs should be forced to have a lot more (older) women on staff. Like their mothers age. When on club duties such as at training, etc there should be more women around at all times. They should have women co-coaches. The only place there is not a women around should be the locker room.
This goes against what I usually think but the game is just suffering from these clowns way too much.

Stating he only sent it to a small number of people and that that will be taken into consideration is a defence. Your post implies that it is not as bad as he isn't the one to release it publicly. Well this is completely his fault.

See that is the point, he is not unlucky, what he has allegedly done is disgusting and a complete violation of his victim.

Do you honestly think that would help?

It could not hurt in terms of both trying to break this stupid bad boys club NRL and rugby league player have and also it is a way of the clubs saying hey look how progressive we are with women and try to mend the bad image the game has with women.
The women the clubs should employ is the players mothers.

*removed*

It is women as well, the youth are sick and weird. They grew up with access to internet porn and probably looked at since god knows what age.
At least in our day you had to find a magazine somewhere and stash it somewhere.

not true, its a relatively new law (introduced in nsw 2017 and new everywhere else too) but there's been a few cases here (NSW, ACT) and overseas.

Wouldn't get as much press though, but its still illegal and treated as such.

If this wasn't a wider spread issue they would of recently changed the law. There would be many cases that go through without anything coming from it.

Doesn't make it any less of a grub act though. Just one that we know of

Rubbish, if another person did this charges would have been laid irrespective to who is in the video.

Allegedly he filmed the act without consent and shared it with his mates, which then led it to being shared with the wider public. He is not unlucky as some posters here have said, he showed a huge disrespect towards the girls involved and will deserve his punishment.
