"And if any of you or your teammates pull a stunt like that, I will strongly consider not agreeing to give you an excellent character reference to the magistrate.

Especially you GI. You will be stuck with the one I already gave you."

The Roosters are set to become the new focus of the Dylan Napa sex tapes scandal with the NRL to widen their investigation to include both current and former players.

We have been told the NRL have finished interviewing Napa and will now turn their attention to the other players involved in the now infamous WhatsApp chat group.

Phones could be seized as part of the investigation.

Bulldogs recruit Napa is facing punishment over a series of lewd tapes that have been leaked on social media.

Napa confirmed to the NRL that the videos were filmed during his five-year stint with the Roosters and were posted on a WhatsApp chat group used exclusively by members of his former club.

Both current and former Roosters players could face punishment with the NRL now set to investigate the entire chat group.

Napa will not learn his fate until the investigation is concluded.

Napa and his lawyers are understood to have fully co-operated with the NRL during a series of interviews.

The prospect of a wide-ranging investigation into chat groups has already prompted one club to shut down a WhatsApp chat group.

The club also issued guidelines for using the social media application and warned of punishment for inappropriate posts.

It is understood Napa’s new club, the Bulldogs, may seek compensation should the NRL decide to suspend Napa.

What are they going to punish them for? Being part of a private conversation and receiving videos?

They should have just committed a DUI.

Suspend Napa but provide a character reference for Inglis? They wonder why the public have no confidence in their ability to run the NRL

So Greenburg has fined Napa for the crime of being stupid, years ago ?

Only in the NRL....

they would. 10% of his 2019 contract, no games missing. While he probably shouldnt be fined at all. This is not a bad result, move the hell on.

I was on the Napa is the victim train of thought earlier, but if the sex tape was distributed in a group chat by Napa or with his knowledge without the knowledge of the woman - he can consider the fine lucky.

Expensive “stupid” mistake to make. The punishment is a personal one, which is appropriate because otherwise you punish a club that had nothing to do with it. That being said, who knows if the club may help pay the fine?

Which young bloke hasn’t got some sexy time on tape? As an NRL player you can’t be seen to be human though. You are a footy playing robot ffs!

Also, maybe I’m not an interwebz pro but it wasn’t easy finding the vids. I don’t use fb though.. and only saw the hetero sex one. The point being is this more of a ‘perception is reality’ deal? How many people actually saw it, without seeking it out, and were disgusted by the NRL when they did see it? A mate described 1 or 2 other Papi tapes and I passed on him sharing them. I don’t need/want to see that.

Do you think a NRLW player would cop the same punishment in the same situation?
