Same thing you said about png

Pvl said it’s a good idea so who knows maybe team 24
and PNG wouldn't have a cat in hells chance if it hadn't been for some random political motivation. same odds as winning the lotto lol.

PVl has said a lot of things over the years.

probably not a great example given its ultimate demise lol. 10 hours is a lot for a team to be travelling every other week.

Wolfpack’s demise wasn’t because of flight time and the Timezone difference was worse. Playing in blocks would be the obvious solution to the flight time, as Toronto did, not 12 trips for 12 away games.

Certainly not married to the idea I just think thousands of professional sportsmen/women would laugh at the suggestion that 16-20 10 hour flights a year would be too hard.

As an entry into the us sports markets it’s brilliant and achievable

It would be the platform for a us tv deal and off that a global tv deal as the sport would have credibility
Hawaii Bear's
LA team. LA outlaws. LA Rooster's ?
LAS Vegas team. LV knight riders

Honestly don’t know if I’ve posted this on here before but we need Perth, NZ 2 & 3, Adelaide and Melbourne 2.

we need these to make sure we are competing on a national level with the AFL.

Not only for tv and sponsors but for growing juniors.
We can’t rely on pokies forever. The Giants get more sponsors than most Sydney NRL clubs.
We need to future proof our clubs regarding pokies and the sport in general.
Putting teams in locations already mined does nothing.

They are a basket case

And last year the afl had to increase the swans funding by an extra 6 million pa as their finances are slipping

A second team in Victoria would be as bad as the giants in Sydney or what a league has done in Melbourne to the victory

Tv viewers wise yes.
Crowds they are at NRL Sydney level average.
No pokies.
It way more sponsors than most Sydney clubs.

Yep they can afford to support their growth areas. Doesn’t change what my post was.

You probably thought the AFL should wind up the Swans in 94.
Patience is needed for growth.

With the failure of the giants and suns we are seeing how afl goes in rugby league states without the benefit of a super league war

Sydney nrl clubs are growing strongly every year

Dogs will average the best crowd average in 117 year of rugby league history this year

They have patience to grow their game. They didn’t give up on the Swans or Lions and they are killing it.

They aren’t, they rely way to heavily on pokies.

That’s great, changes nothing with what I’ve said.

Dogs currently average over 30 k crowd average

Even the smallest Sydney club in Cronulla made a profit last year of 4 million and it’s leagues club is closed

Time to get a clue

Got one, don’t buy the rah rah from the head office. Go with facts because I don’t want clubs dying.

NRL misses out on $$$$$$$ for merchandise purely because the image rights are way WAY too high and it’s the stuff that gets kids in. So yeah, the nrl could take a leaf out of AFLs book.

NRL also need to continue on the membership drives, crowd boosting and better scheduling.
