That Dogs Roosters game, that's 1 v 10 last night, and will be hard to top for game of the year. It was incredible. Also featured try of the year from Marky Mark, what a freakish effort that was (conveniently ignoring the 4-5 errors he made that probably cost the game)
One story described it as rocks and diamonds which was pretty apt.

Although I think Toia’s balls up was the most unforgivable/costly of the game. Which incidentally, came off one of Marky Mark’s other diamond moments.

But otherwise he’s been super impressive with his conversion so far I reckon. He’s normally pretty good under the high ball, so on any other day he’d have been close to best on ground. With less than a dozen first grade games behind him.

Yeah, he's a freakish footballer. Was in union, too.

If you've got 10 minutes, watch/listen to this with Buzz dribbling out of an orifice about Madge and trying to lecture him about coaching, Anasta trying to keep some level of decorum and logic, while Tallis beats the drum for his old mate and Brent Read kinda stands aside and watches the carnage unfold.

It's the best shit I've listened to in years. Most of it the sort of nonsense you wouldn't even find the likes of on LU, but it's such a fun listen

Carrigan and Reynolds quoted as saying that the Taupau liking of a media post is a bad look, and he is going to have to sit down with all the senior players and explain himself

This comes from the same club who had a bloke drive drunk and full of drugs, while not holding a licence, and veer onto the opposite side of the road and collect another car injuring the young girl. No sacking for that and crickets from the senior players
Yeah that's the logical way of looking at it...but as with Proctor being binned from the Titans for vaping and posting it online, it was a case of giving the club the opportunity when you're old and on the outer.

We all know Mam is still there because he's a talent that basically got them over the line in a GF, and they can't replace that easily.

Cobbo more openly undermined Kevvie a couple of years ago and wasn't sacked...same thing.

the only thing missing is a couple of empty schooners in front of Tallis. The shit he was spewing out. And Buzz looks like someone they wheeled in from the local retirement village. How he is on tv is the biggest con job out there. Frank Abagnale Mark II.....

The Dogs winning 24-20 was thanks to some 'friendly' refereeing calls. Or that's what I heard from a couple of punters at work this morning. They were Dragons fans so it's not like they'd be biased.

We know the Bulldogs are good this year though. There's no denying it. Their game against us in Sydney is a must-see for fans living there. That was my last Warriors game too, our win in 2023. The train stations around Homebush were a carnival of Warriors fans and I think this year is on a similar path. A win this year over Canterbury would be even more celebratory too, as they're leading the competition.

We got a friendly one or two tonight too… both teams are impressive without being THAT impressive

He's 35, played his final NRL game I reckon.
Yeah, I don't know how fit and able he is. He is (or was) in Brisbane's squad this season though. Perhaps, on that count we could presume he's still an NRL quality prop for this year at least.

6-0, Manly but, gee, that Olakau'atu/Saab runaway was against the run of play. 14 mins gone...

6-all. Halftime...both coaches are apparently 'happy' in the sheds...Semibold reckons continuing to appy pressure will open up the game in the second-half, Manly's way, of course.

24-6, Manly. Final.

In other news Harry Grant is starting at hooker for Melbourne.

You’d swear DCE is match fixing this, killing every tiny bit of attacking ball we have had. Kick dead on the first tackle was disgraceful and after the long Saab break just stopped and killed the momentum next tackle

Hung in well so far but has the feeling of one of those unlucky nights, that Saab intercept off his fingertips probably summing it up. Atkins missing the cowboys touch on the 4th tackle 40m out was awful as well. That Jake knock out looked awful

Words I didn’t think I’d be saying, shit that’s a gutsy win from Manly. Battered a bit and Cowboys had everything going for them with penalties, possession and field position but barely looked like cracking the line

Ball of the year from Talakai. Sharks have had everything going their way, but looking very impressive with the ball.

Hard to believe Ronaldo could stay on the field early with that aggressive high shot

C’mon the Sharkies, I can’t pick a winner atm, probably need to watch more, but happy if they can top Melbourne

Just caught some of the post match from the Manly game

SJ to DCE - “how are you finding my old mate Jazz at dummy half”

DCE “ My ankles are sore from catching his passes”

SJ “hahahaha mine are still recovering”
