Another round ahead, the drama continues! Especially at Brookvale with the DCE intrigue. Will it affect the team's performance in their traditional grudge match with Parra? No, because DCE is just too cool, too professional. In fact, expect an angry team to put forty on them, which is nearly the amount of years since, you know, the Eels last won anything.
Tonight, no Cleary, and some are saying Souths to win. We know different, the Panthers can win without him. If they don't though, they could drop to 13th or 14th on the ladder! Unheard of.
Friday, it's a mystery what we'll get with Easts. At home you'd think they'd deal to Dessie's mob but this year is off the hook somewhat. The Titans will throw plenty at them and we know they have the ammo.
Redcliffe need a win (they're not alone there) but Brisbane have their cushy Friday night slot. Will the Bunker be kind to the newbies in town?
Saturday, St. George host the Storm at Kogarah. A brave tipper would go with them over Melbourne but the weather will be very wet, the Storm have a good player or two out, so we'll see what happens. I think big, ugly Nelson is back though. He's so loose he might only last one game before he does something silly!
If Payten painted a picture of his future past Penrose it would've been rosier than this. Sticky would've stuck a stick up the Raiders' arses and they'll come out swinging. The crowds at Townsville have dropped off, apparently. That could doom our Todd if he doesn't start turning things around, and soon.
Sharks v Bulldogs, Sydney fare. Two top sides so far, down in the Shire, and twenty years since the Cronulla riot! Someone in the crowd will point this out and I'd love to be a quiet observer when it happens!
Sunday, aforementioned Manly v Eels, then the big one, Wests v Warriors at Campbelltown, where the Tigers aren't very good (even worse than they've usually been elsewhere). The Tigers attack v the Warriors graft, what a way to end the weekend.
Enjoy!
