Haha! Imagine the Roosters saying they need $200k in their cap for half a season, and they won't budge from taking $40k less from Souths. Uncle Nick has that in the bottom zip of his golf bag.

This is a guy who, at one stage, was rated as the top 10 players in the game, now they're so keen to get rid of him that they're more keen on a couple hundred K over a guy with utility who could help them later in the season if they get injuries. Not to mention Origin when Watson is out.

Smith has let himself down badly at that club. Thank god we didn't bring him back to Waiheke when he moved from Melbourne.
