Bingo….they pay wages to employees, the deduction is paid by the employee from there wages.
so if the goverment garnishes your wages for not paying child support is said company paying your child support?
It’s embarrassing the way the players are going about thisKind of like the non answers Clint gives?
Playing it out in the media achieves nothing

I absolutely believe the NRL should scrap the current arrangement and force them into being a membership union - see how many of the players actually sign up when they have a choice to keep the cash instead.
A few journos, media commentators, club officials and and even coaches have indicated that not all players are on board with the direction of travel from the RLPA.
The NRL doesn't get to make that choice, since the players made the choice to pay it from money from the salary cap.
Oh well if James Hooper and Paul Crawley said so.
It's embarrassing that people in this thread, who normally put shit on Murdoch journos, believe every word they say because it suits their agenda.

haven't taped the logo up, So there is some who don't care or want to stay out of the politics of it all
Of course that is ignoring Brad Arthur saying his son doesn't know what it is about

“Given there are about 750 NRL and NRLW players, the $3 million in funding equates to roughly $4000 a year for each player. If the funding was withdrawn, players would, presumably, need to pay a similar amount each year. The way it works is that of the revenue identified as going to the players, out of that revenue the NRL pays a flat fee to the RLPA which is how all NRL players are covered by it without any money coming out of their current payments.
Problems this could lead to:
1. If a player objected to being unionisedc by default. It is illegal to make people compulsorily join; and
2. The NRL could just decide to stop the payments. Make the RLPA collect its own membership fees from players.
Looks like no. 2 is being conmmsidered by the NRL according to the Herald -
NRL considers cutting funding to players’ union as pay battle rages on
The RLPA receives $3 million from the NRL each year, but that funding is under scrutiny as the long-running CBA dispute between the organisations continues.www.smh.com.au
Whilst it would inflame matters, the RLPA would not have a legal leg to stand on if the NRL did it as far as I am aware.
Horsburgh at 43 secs you can clearly see the badge taped over
In the very first second of this video you can see Latrell with his taped up, and Api when he scores his is.
Not shown on that video, but when they run out you can see Cook's taped.
And yeah it's not surprising that some reserve grade half doesn't know what it's fully about. You'll never get every single person in a union knowing what the issues are, that's why you select your leaders. Any player who wants to know, knows exactly who they can ask.

Tass no tape
Luke Brooks no tape.
Of not everyone will know but no everyone cares, plenty of people just want to go work, get paid and go home.
The same for any industry. So I don't doubt the journos know some who are in that camp
