South Sydney are to lodge Greg Inglis' contract with the NRL within the next 24 hours, amid suggestions his switch to the NRL club is in jeopardy.
A club statement on Thursday denied a report claiming NRL salary cap auditor Ian Schubert was set to knock back the terms of the Rabbitohs' deal for the superstar centre.
Having walked away from his deal to join Brisbane, Inglis remains contracted to Melbourne while Souths attempt to finalise a contract for him.
The 23-year-old has agreed to a three-year $1.8m deal heavily backended and involving third party agreements which Souths expect will allow him to fit under the salary cap.
