NRL to make major announcement?

The only announcement that is due soon that I can think of is the draw for rounds 2 through 10. I.e. who plays on Friday, who plays on Monday etc.

Having said that, I can't imagine that kind of announcement is sufficiently newsworthy to warrant a major press event.

Yes, but it will stop the bleating from the traditionalists if a rugby league stronghold gets a team it deserves.

I'm all for expansion as you know but places like Perth need a bit of work first.
