They won by 7 on home soil against a side that had numerous Test players out and hadn't played one match in preparation. Leeds played 4 according to the commentators.
If the Dogs had played two matches in preparation, they would have won comfortably.
.
now lets tell the truth...
leeds had a 90% home grown team out on the pitch which is surely a good thing. we had our player of the season in 2004 on the sidelines injured. the bulldogs had 10 gf winners on the field. we didn't play 4 proper warm up games. the leeds club played 4 games but these were played by mostly academy players with 2 or 3 first teamers getting 20 minute run outs.
if leeds had really prepared and were at full strength against the dogs team that showed up we seriously would have put 60 or 70 past them. both teams need to take the games more seriously.
the last time both teams took it seriously wigan won on your soil.
i agree with alot said here, we've got maye 4 strong teams right now but they ARE strong teams and the others are catching up slowly.
forget gb for now. our club level is where it's at for the forseeable future and that's where we'll continue to beat you.

you idiott... the last time a team took it seriously was the Roosters and look how they busted St Helen's...and St Helen's pulled the same trick you can't play trials in England...they had to have a game of touch and grab agains t some other team and St Helen's played the weekend before -

strong_latte said:Anyway you look at it though, the NRL supports 16 teams with a high amount of decent through the top 8 and a decent amount of deapth through the rest of the comp... the ESL struggles to maintain 12 teams with any sort of deapth and resort to importing has-beens from Aus and NZ... Also want to talk about skill and deapth? Well have you ever compared Australia's State of Origin between Qld and NSW to Englands version between Lankshire and Yorkshire? would you want to have the British SOO champs play the Australian SOO champs? I didn't think so.
Bulldog-Power said:i like the way this silly little brittish geezer ignored the call that someone made saying that all the players he listed as stand outs in the ESL were all from australia
he is just a silly little brittish "git" who will eat a piece of sh*t and love it if it makes him feel a little bit better then someone else

leeds were definetly taking this game 1000% more seriously, i mean cripes they played a trial game on boxing day!
