i didn't have a computer back then, only just got one. tbh the tri nations defeat was no surprise to anyone. we played ok for a few games but couldn't take things up a level when needed. i blame the coach for his selections, although even if we'd had the strongest team out it'd have been hard against that perfect first half the aussies played.

you see, i'm a gracious loser. i have to be after supporting the rhinos for 25 years.
i'm a gracious winner so long as the losers don't come out with the sort of bull i've read on these forums the last few days.

you're wrong, check my first few posts. you'll read some friendly banter and see me thanking you all and saying it was a pleasure to read the very gracious reviews/thoughts about the game after my first day here.

it wasn't until some started quoting phil gould style garbage that i bit back and tried to tell the truth in response to some of the rubbish spouted.

anyway it's only banter. you're all far too hyped up about a game that apprently "no one cares about" (until you lose)

i'll be back next year when we come down there and do the same. you better start thinking of excuses incase we do actually beat you on your own turf...

i've never once said our league was stronger. i've never once said if both teams met at their peak that leeds would win. i did say we'd give a better account than our national side and it'd be closer than you lot would like to admit. you know it, your media know it and your players know it.

patten, el masri, tonga, anasta (for about 10mins in the wcc doesnt really count), perry, maitua, grimaldi, sbw, hughes, asotasi.

w.mason (australian rep) the heart of team esp the forwards a key forward
m.o'meley (australian rep) one of the best front rows in the game
a.ryan (australian rep) our new captain and great leader
m.utai (kiwi rep) one of best wingers in the game great from dummy half
b.harris (australian schoolboy rep) a great defensive player
b.sherwin (city/country rep) our main playmaker, who setups all our plays

ok and in saying that lets take out leeds key players in similiar positions and see who they lose and tell me how well they would go.


mason = lauitiiti (similiar players) mason is better

o'meley = bailey (good props) o'meley is better

ryan = jones buchanan (not much comparison except there both back rowers) ryan is streets ahead though

utai = bai (strong wingers but good in attack, utat kills bai in defense) utai is better

harris = senior (both good wingers) i would rate senior better

sherwin = mcguire (both top halfbacks) i would rate them equal.

now lets take out these players and see how leeds look...

cunningham has always played crap against australia and thats the only time ive seen him play

anyhow even a mid strength bulldogs side would inflict some serious damage

you've got a bench of absolute no names, ditto in the 2nd row. fozzard is average, sean long is a thug and a cheat and thats about it

hooper was ok at best in the nrl, anasta would kill him, darren albert has a bit of toe, but is getting on and paul wellens is a serial choker

there is no way you will win the ESL unless you do some more recuiting. what a crap team
