Some of the try saving tackles from the game were epic. When was the last time we used the word 'epic' to describe the men's team?

I was a bit concerned they might drop off a bit with the coaching change but we looked great. Defence was immense.

Pretty good effort across the board and they’ll go a long way this year if they maintain that defence and fitness. Hard to be critical of the team considering it was round 1 and we’re bound to be a bit rusty.

The only things that stood out with individual performances were the winger Waterman didn’t quite seem up to standard, and Kukutai had one run for 2m, where she was absolutely smashed by Elliott and then didn’t touch the ball again. Think she only played the 15 minutes where Roche was off for an HIA and didn’t get back on the field after that??

Yeah both NZ 7s recruits were poor. Surely a few training sessions would have shown Waterman was a long way off being at the right level. Although the girl she has replaced on that wing didn't give us much to miss. Poor old Jasmine Strange got absolutely folded in defence by our forwards.

Crash play by our halfback wasn't on my bingo card today. We should try that with Crossland on Sunday.

Bold of you to assume it won't be our go-to play.
This was Jesse Southwell doing the crashing haha. If you can call it that. She dropped the ball before she got to the defensive line, lol.

Kicking game has been on fire again though.

Oh yeah, I'm watching the game. It looked like they'd been training with the mens team.

That try was more enjoyable than anything we've done in the last few weeks in the NRL.

Raiders have defended quite well really. We've had a lot of tackles in their 20.

No idea why they took the 2 twice. They scored both times they were in our 20.

The Raiders have defended well for sure, but I'd say we haven't taken our opportunities too. The game shouldn't really be this close, let alone the Raiders leading with ~7 to go.

Geez they just never give up. Pulled that one out of the fire big time.

It's such a weird feeling I get, watching this team play. What's the opposite of shame?

It's easy to say because we pretty much win all the time but they're just fun to watch. Even if we had lost that you couldn't accuse of us being boring. Its not dire football like the boys have been playing this year.

The overall game has got better each year too.

The cherry on top is having some of the best players in the game that are local juniors. Pretty much the dream for a Knights team.
