This isn’t the same team as last year, alot of fundamental errors, silly penalties, missed tackles
We're not far off. We've been in every game. Attack has been better today but the handling of the kick-offs was bizarro world stuff.

I'd still have us favourites in most games. Uptons a cheat code in the 20. Its mostly just individual dumb plays costing us points as you say.

We lost our head coach this year right? Do we look a lot worse for it? Or is it the weaker playing roster?

Probably a combination of those, plus other clubs picking up their games.

The roster isn't much weaker, but CJ being out for the season is a big loss. I don't think we're that far off the pace, we're still one of the best teams. We didn't exactly storm through the finals last year, it was a very 2021 Panthers kind of performance. There was very little in our two losses.

There's more teams and hence more competition though. More games equals more variance in performances.

4 kick offs now we’ve failed to gather and Eels finally makes us pay, I think I can guess what they’ll be working overtime on during training next week
In their defence the wind was swirling and it looked difficult to judge. Parra had the same in the first half.

We're sitting okay. It's tougher to make the finals this year with 10 teams and only 4 spots. Every game counts that much more. Getting a big win like we did this weekend is vital for the F/A. There's 6 teams on 3/5 wins now.

We've already played Sharks (5/5 wins) and Roosters, Eels (3/5 wins). We have Broncos, Titans & Cowboys left who are all on 3 wins, then the Tigers who are on 0.

If we beat the Tigers and win 2/3 of Broncos, Titans & Cowboys, we will finish top 4.

I hope the coach is just easing Southwell back in and doesn't actually think the stand-in is better.
