Just turned 20 and showed tonight that she’s the best halfback in the game. Well done to her. Deserved POTM aswell.

Been 20 years since I've seen a Knights halfback control a game so well. When will we get one in the men's side?
Jesse just dominated an origin match, months before the season even starts. It's something to celebrate - not another way to find a reason to cry about the men's team.

Yeah why not just enjoy the club having what looks like a potential GOAT of her sport? It has nothing to do with the men's team. If anything it should be heartening, maybe there's nothing elementally wrong with the Hunter region and great halfbacks *can* still emerge from it.

Think there was some dramas with the Tarsha Gale Cup coach apparently picking less qualified players who she also happens to teach at school over Mercedez, so wouldn’t surprise if she has left. Never played a game this season. Playing favourites and nepotism seems to be a common occurrence in the Knights junior ranks at the moment, boys and girls.

Looks like the issue has been rectified.

Jesse is going to be world class. Lovely.

Tamika injury serious?
I came here to see how she went from a Knights fans point of view. I could only catch the final 6 minutes of tonight's game, but they were giving her a wrap, about her control of the game and her decision-making.
Again, I missed game 1 (and have been really busy since so haven't watched it on replay yet), but the bits I did see and heard, she killed it that game too.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for Newcastle in the coming years.

In regards to your other question, I don't care. Her departure and reasons for it stink to me. If legit, fair enough, and I have respect for it. But it never sat with me as being completely legit. I think most of us feel the same. Thus, I hope it's a season-ending injury so she can spend all the time in the world with her family. But, according to what I've read, it seems like a hamstring injury, so won't be too bad.

Jesse was indeed very good and her short kicking game is better than any of our men.

Upton got beaten badly several times for tries, the last one was where she did her hammy. Although to be fair very few would have stopped Chapman in the same position.
