Central Coast beat Canterbury 52-22
The Bears comeback was sensational.
The Bears side was looking struggling already this week without Vagana, Widders and the Lowe brothers sitting on the sidelines. Then 5 of our 17 had to pull out with injury. This meant we had 2 guys making their NSW Cup debut for the year and 1 playing his second game, plus a hooker playing backrow and only 3 on the bench (a second rower, hooker and winger).
With all that in mind it was no surprise Windsor were up 34-0 after 25 minutes. The Bears clawed back to 34-12 at halftime. In the second half they showed amazing heart to get up 40-34, then Windsor scored in the final minute, but thank goodness for us that Shane Rodney sideline conversion attempt hit the goalpost so Norths won 40-38. Then all supporters were invited into the dressing room to sing the team song!!!
