I thought Alaimalo was pretty weak in contact when taking his hit ups. But if he can improve that, and he can we more experience, he might turn out to be a handy player.

It is probably the same criticism of Lobb as well. They were both weapons in the air though
Solomon Alaimalo is still injured, the knee not 100%.
Both he and Lobb are tall which is a bonus.

Do you think Naden has played himself back into the 18, especially if Galvin has a holiday.
Yep. He'llplay 14 due to the spots in the backline he can cover, and in a pinch could play 2nd row. I think either Sullivan or Latu F come in for Galvin. I'd say he'll go with Sullivan and give Latu another week in reggies.

NBWT twitted
After channeling Andrew Johns in the final 15 minutes yesterday, Brent Naden has been named at halfback for Wests #NSWCup.

Naden had 2 try assists, 2 forced drop outs and a 40/20 as he guided a heavily depleted Wests team to an unlikely comeback victory.

Go well, Joey

Hymel Hunt, a former NRL winger and centre has returned to the rugby league field after being released by the Newcastle Knights at the end of last season.

Failing to receive a contract extension, Hunt left the Knights at the end of last season with 113 first-grade career appearances and 34 career tries.

He has now since returned to the field for the Ryde-Eastwood Hawks in the Ron Massey Cup.

The Hawks are affiliated with the Wests Tigers, meaning he could play for the Western Suburbs Magpies later this season in the NSW Cup.

Believe Luke Laulilii was withdrawn from making his #JerseyFlegg debut because he’ll be making his #NSWCup debut alongside Kit instead

Kick-Off
Historic ground, I used to live 5 min away from Nth Sydney Oval....aghh memories.
Opening minutes Solomon Alaimalo looks impressive, still in a knee guard.
Nado running the show
at N⁰7.
Big Nelson Asofa-Solomona sporting the bald look is asserting his dominance but is on report for cannonball.
5:00 0-0
15.00 Nths 4-0
Soft try from dummy half, they are finding holes through the middle in every set.
22:00 Nths 10-0
28:00 Nelson penalized for head contact tackle.
Their capt also on report for hipdrop.
Another high tackle, nths players will go to bin next time.
30:00 Nths 16-0
Another try, weak middle, cricket score coming up if we don't tighten up.
35:00 Nths 16-6
Declan Casey scored in the corner. I think that's his 3rd try for the year. He's having a solid game as is Josh Feledy.
Awesome conversation from Lobb from the sideline.
Halftime 16-6
Jordan Miller is not just unfit, he's obese. Seriously this guy is touted the next big thing...big alright.

Second Half.
Nths 20-6
Solomon Alaimalo let in a very soft try but in fairness he had no help.
56:00 Nths 26-6
Nelson Asofa-Solomona scores soft try under posts.
60:00 Nths 32-6
Another soft crash play try under posts.... it's all over I fear.
64:00 Nths 32-12
Solomon Alaimalo finishes a good backline movement and converted from sideline by Casey.
68:00 Nths38-12
A small player runs straight past Nado to score. Soft try Nado, that will keep you out of the NRL
Nelson Asofa-Solomona
foul play again and sent to the bin.
74:00 Nths 38-16
Josh Feledy follows an ingoal grubber and scored an impressive try against a 12 man side.

80:00 Nths 42-16 Veteran Fitzgibbon scored in the corner, it's all over thank god for that was so painful to watch.
Luke Laulilii moves good and will be better next time I'm sure. Nado tried hard but some dumb errors.

Luke's going to be good I think but as I said in the play by play above, Miller looks seriously overweight and no muscle. Very dissapointing.

Waiting for the second half. The ground is covered by kids playing footy and mucking around, just like the old days. Security has shooed them off as second half starting.
