No Klemmer or Graham. Thinking that means Martin and/or Yeo are in. Fittler has dropped a few guys who probably should feel unlucky.

I mean not even being part of a train on squad after being part of one or both series wins.

Yet he had Turbo in despite no game time.

Apparently, Klemmer only made the cut last year, due to injury.

I guess I can understand dropping Klemmer, not so much Graham who I thought was sublime in game 2 last year.

That leaves Saifiti, Haas and Big Jake as our middles. Murray and Frizzell have also spent plenty of time there. Not sure I can see Yeo in the starting 17 yet. Has to battle with Finucane.

Yeah he's eligible for both Samoa and NZ so really comes down to his personal preference. NZ being tier 1 means no State Of Origin but Samoa being tier 2 means he could play for NSW.
Born and raised in NSW. Played for St Marys, Samoan grandparents. Played for Junior Kiwis so must have some connection to NZ.

The plan is or was up until a few months ago. Crichton, To'o, Leinu, Leota, Luai and May to all play for Samoa in next years World Cup.. After that re-assess the NZ path

As for the side. Most of the side won't change. 27 players were used and a handful won't be available so I doubt there is much change

You'd think is the top side. I guess depends if they want guys in the squad for experience. The further we go the better their chances

The SMH reporting that Leota is being considered for the Origin squad, and is 1 of 6 Panthers players in calculations for selection.

https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/origin-bolter-nsw-blues-consider-shock-selection-of-little-known-panthers-prop-20201005-p5626c.html

With Queensland facing the prospect of being without Kalyn Ponga, NSW are contemplating one of the boldest Origin selection moves in recent memory, considering little-known Penrith bench player Moses Leota for their 27-man squad.

In a huge show of faith in the high-flying Panthers, sources close to the Blues camp told the Herald that NSW coach Brad Fittler is impressed with Leota's impact off the bench for his club and is in line for a shock call-up.

The Panthers' record-breaking season could be rewarded with up to six players in the Blues squad, which will be finalised on October 25. Nathan Cleary, Stephen Crichton, Liam Martin, Api Koroisau, Isaah Yeo and Leota are all in calculations.

Leota's potential selection comes 24 hours after Fittler left NSW and Australian prop incumbent David Klemmer out of his 27-man squad, opening the door for Leota to join the likes of Junior Paulo, Payne Haas and Daniel Saifiti as the front-rowers in the Blues fold.

Auckland-born Leota played his junior football for St Marys and was named in Fittler's Emerging Blues squad last year alongside Kotoni Staggs, Victor Radley and Mitchell Moses.

Leota has played 79 NRL games since his debut in 2016, 62 of those coming off the bench for the Panthers. He has averaged nine runs a game for a total of 107 metres in 2020.

Leota is one from left field. He has been pretty good this year but never really considered he would be a chance at Origin.

If he played for blues like he did Samoa then we haven't even seen his best footy yet this year.
