James McManus should be dropped after his game tonight, deadset he is rubbish.

"Israel Folau watched McManus play tonight and he jizzed in his pants"
Although I agree that McManus shouldn't have been picked, Folau will be lining opposite Hayne. Therefore Darius Boyd will be the one with jizz-filled pants

LOL

Easily one of the worst threads of the year

PS: I would've picked Monaghan too but McManus won't let anyone down, after tonight I bet he has a ripper next Wed.

I see that once again players are picked under injury cloud (as slight as it is) and not playing for a few weeks because of injury. Gidley, played tonight not 100% and didn't finish. And Farrar, 2 weeks on the sideline due to injury. Key positions, this may come back to bite the selectors?
Farrah only missed one game due to concussion (doctors orders usually prohibit a player from playing a week after they were concussed)

He isn't under an injury cloud at all.

Mullen has deadset been rorted. Wallace is a pretender.

Rorted out of what exactly? Brian Smith publicly rated Luke Walsh as a better halfback than Jarod Mullen, which put great amounts of egg on the selectors face last time they picked him there.

Where does mullen play most weeks? i still dont understand why you would have a bloke play halfback for his state when he rarely does it for his club.

I'm a Raiders fan and you'd think I'd be devastated than Monaghan didn't make it but if I'm being honest, McManus deserves his spot. He's very much underrated, solid as a rock in defence and under the high ball. Sure he made a few mistakes tonight but I'm sure his mind was on other matters. If anything Monaghan should've been there ahead of Hayne IMO.. however Monas himself hasn't been in the best form this year.

For the record, I do agree that Mullen wasn't rorted out of the halfback spot. Wallace has shown more so far this year. However your argument is geniused.

I believe those comments from Smith were made around a year ago? Where do you think Neil Henry ranked Weyman this time last year? Or Campese for that matter?

Welcome to 2009.

Your second comment is quite perplexing. I can only assume that you haven't watched the Knights play this year that often.

Mullen has played ten games this season. For three of those he came off the bench to replace Dureau, and played halfback with Rogers at five-eigth. One of the ten games he started at five-eigth with Dureau inside of him, add to this that Dureau was rushed into the line up in round 2 against the Sharks at 'five-eigth', but was obviously going to halfback with Mullen at second receiver prior to Mullen getting injured during the game. The remaining five games have seen Mullen play halfback, with Dureau coming off the bench once when both Mullen and Rogers were injured.

Five almost full games, and three partial games (over 40 minutes each time) at halfback out of ten hardly seems rare.

He's played halfback majority of games this season due to Scotty Dureau being shyte

Disgraceful. I thought the Queensland team only picked non Queenslanders and NSW only pick born and bred Blues?

Instead of this becoming a "But QLD picked Adrian Lam and Greg Inglis", NSWmen admit that picking this bloke wearing the proud blue jersey in front of a true NSWmen is a disgrace.

I understand that this is a piss take, because even you know what the SOO eligibilty rules are.

Whatever state, NSW or QLD, a player playes his first "senior" game (u/18 and above) in, he is then eligible to play SOO for that state. Even if a player is born in England, until the age of 6, and lives in QLD until the age of 16, He then moves to Byron Bay at the age of 17 and plays his first u/18 game in NSW, he is then eligible for NSW only.

So can you now see how McManus is eligible for NSW ?
