Too early? Who cares, let's move on.

One would think Buderus and Fitzgibbon wont be there, so..

1 Kurt Gidley

5 Chris Lawrence or Josh Morris
6 Todd Carney
7 Peter Wallace
8 Willie Mason (C)

11 Nathan Hindmarsh
12 Anthony Laffranchi
13 Feleti Mateo
--
14 Greg Bird
15 Mark O'Meley
16 Chris Heighnington
17 Ben Hornby

Other players in consideration or to look out for (by position);

Brett Stewart, Anthony Minichiello, Ben Hornby

Anthony Quinn, Michael Robertson, Amos Roberts, Nathan Merritt, Chris Lawrence

Joel Monaghan, Luke Lewis, Jamie Lyon, Ben Pomeroy, Michael Jennings, Dean Collis

Braith Anasta, Jarrod Mullen, Jamie Soward

Mitchell Pearce, Matt Orford

Going on the basis that the Roosters retain Fitzgibbon.

I agree. Lets use no players from the best performed NSW side of the last three seasons. Excellent thinking Knights fan.

Well in my team there is probably noone else besides Gasnier.

I reckon Mason would lift being captain.

Bring back Nathan Hindmarsh or Luke Bailey. Greg Bird even, or if you ever give him a chance, Matt Orford.

You don't need a mouth; you need someone who'll lead by example.

Stewart has been OK, we need more than OK at Origin.

Robertson id consider on wing, I always thought he should have been ahead of Turner.

Lyon doesnt want to play Origin.

Orford is probably too old to be considered now, unless he wins a GF this year it may make the selectors believe he can win a big game, but Wallace wont be dropped, he's been good.

Kite - Maybe, depends on things. Same with Watmough.

EDIT: Oh, I was close to putting Perry in though, although im still not convinced on him.

Hindmarsh should've played this year. Like Fitzgibbon, he's consistent and reliable. Unlike Gallen.

Hoffman doesn't deserve a starting spot. He does nothing.

Queensland would never sack a player like Hindmarsh because of a slight lack of club form (due to personal issues mind you). We know a player of his calibre will lift. We'll take him if you don't want him.

You don't need Hindmarsh. You've got the superstar workhorse that is Dallas Johnson :roll:

The team i'd be scared of for next year as QLD:

1. STEWART, Brett
2. MONOGHAN, Joel
3. JENNINGS, Michael
4. MORRIS, Josh
5. HAYNE, Jarryd
6. CARNEY, Todd (Best long kicking game in the comp. Would thrive in Origin)
7. WALLACE, Peter
8. BAILEY, Luke
9. FARAH, Robbie
10. CROSS, Ben
11. HEIGHNINGTON, Chris
12. LAFFRANCHI, Anthony
13. BIRD, Greg

RES:
14. PERRY, Josh
15. WEYMAN, Michael (You watch. Will be injury free, and Rep player under Bennett next year. I guarantee it.)
16. CREAGH, Ben
17. LEWIS, Luke

Aside from Cross, that whole pack can play 80 minutes. So you can really rely on that endurance, and just have the impact short burst players of Cross, Weyman and Perry rotating.

Lewis is a true utility. Can play anywhere in the backline and backrow.

Jennings and Morris I believe are more potent attacking threats and solid defensively. Hayne and Monoghan are also solid in the air and can combat QLD winger's.

If you wanna beat QLD, you have to be brave and make tough decisions. Gasnier isn't the answer, Jennings and Morris's footwork are just as good, and I believe are better at this point in time. They will both improve next year as well.

Kurt Gidley
Adam McDougall

etc* etc*

Buderus will of course be flown in from Leeds for all three matches. I'm sure we can find space for some Knights Harold Matts prodigy on the bench.
