I could be wrong, but...I think pete was taking the piss out of a certain recent scenario involving Johns and Tahu...Notice how most, if not all the players, have indigenous heritage, and the coach is...Well, you know...

I honestly think that NSWRL have been expecting too much out of their debutants.
Let's be fair, i doubt any blues debutant during the last 10 years has had a more brilliant debut than Hayne and the selectors have obviously used that as a benchmark to warrant continued selection.

why is it so horrible ? its as good as any other squad that anyone else puts up, NSW wont beat QLD for another 5 years. Can someone be bothered to make a NSW team of players that are playing in England see what you can come up with

There is no designated half-back, 5 players are playing out of position, Preston Campbell is NOT an origin player and you have a coach rocked in a racism scandal. The idea is right - build for the future but in doing so we shouldn't make the mistakes of the past e.g. playing players out of position.
