Just hurry up and pick someone,Hayne is going to carry these wimps again anyway, put Jamie Siward in the centres and Jeff Robson on the wing and Hayne will still carry them to glory.

When Hayne is busted from carrying the team. You'll be glad THEDUGAN is there to swap in and take some kick returns.

Bird is far more effective on the left edge then in the middle.
Hoffman did squat in the first game so he has to go.
Ideally I don't really want Scott starting on the right but I wouldn't be as against it as Hoffman on the left.

I think we'll always be in disagreement if you don't understand why and where they get picked.

What did any of the left-side guys do with the ball? Hodkinson is their provider on that side and he provided nothing. Jennings went looking for the ball most occasions & did well in taking off pressure of forwards) and Tupou nullified kicks. If you're going to ignore the strength of the defence on that side of the field in Game 1 (and edge defence is marshalled by the forward on that side of the field) for just the flash of attack, then go ahead, drop Hoffman.

It wasn't my opinion of what should be done anyway. It was my opinion of what I think Daley will do.

The right-side of the field is already back to square 1 with regards to combinations and familiarity.......and folks want to take out the general of edge defence on this side because he missed a couple of open play tackles. I guess no one has ever been confronted by Slater and been beaten before? Further to this, folks want the bloke on the other 'stable' side of the field (who is working well in defence with a new half) to be punted as well?

There are changes that need to be made through injury, and the return of a gun. Mess up the team and combinations unnecessarily and the advantage the Blues may have going into Game 2 is slowly eliminated.

Dugan at right centre makes sense. Can interchange with Hayne at times too.

Only if hayne is injured really bad would that be close to a decent option.

Even having Dugan at centre im not so sure will work. Could be a massive fail. One good performance against the sharks doesnt make him a cert.

Yeah, because Bird is terrible in defence.

Replacing Hoffman with Bird loses nothing in defence while adding plenty in attack.
It also leaves 3 specialist middle players in the middle with 2 of them being bigger bodies.

But no, I don't understand why they pick players in specific positions.

When Dugan is carved up defending out of position, we will be glad Hayne is there to go and fix our defence on the right hand side.

Dugan at right centre after only two games at club level is ridiculous. He failed in his first go, and his second game was against a reserve grade side. Not good enough to throw him in the centres against an Origin team and potentially Greg Inglis.

I had hoped he would be a special sort of case like Hayne was at right centre... but he isn't even close to that sort of quality. Atleast with Lewis on the bench we have two options to plug the hole that Dugan playing out of position is going to create. But we shouldn't even consider him there in the first place.

That is one of the stupidest reasons for selecting Dugan then. Hayne was the standout at fullback for NSW in game 1 and you (amongst others) suggest bringing in Dugan so he can interchange with Hayne based on Dugan having a good performance against the Sharks?!

Hayne has played 2 game at centre and you want to put him in Origin? Let's face it, the NSW squad for game 1 had one thing, the players were in form which they had demonstrated over a number of weeks prior to selection. Dugan's form has been 1 good game with how many bad games?

Pick players who are specialists in their positions and in good form. Dugan is not a specialist centre, and in my opinion, is not in good form.

Agreed. Also Nofoluma, Galloway should get a run. And Brooks off the bench

This has nothing to do its my team facing them this week

Nofoalumas knee is buggered, he has no pace ATM. Otherwise he would actually be the ideal right wing replacement
