Would love to see Carney in the 7, he definitely needs to be one of our halves. Would like to see Mullen considered for the other, but I'd be happy with Maloney...Hayne in the centres would also be great, but would like to see BMoz outside him AFTER their combo in the WC...

Aaron Woods needs a big season if he wants a spot...

Idris needs to play consistant club footy first. His defence against set plays has been terrible in the past but most of all its his attitude that has kept him out of the NSW side recently

I take it you didn't watch any Titans games in 2013. If Idris can back up this year's form next year, he will definitely be considered. A very different player to the one that was picked a few years ago as a novelty. Plays on the right too.

On the halves, I've long advocated for the tattooed Bunny, but on the strength of his finals performance this year, I think he may need another year to develop. See how he responds to the disappointment.

That leaves me thinking 2 of 3 of Maloney, Carney, and Mullen. Quality players, and none of them with the surname Peacre.

Idris was in unbelievable form last season. He shed so much weight that he looked healthy as f**k. That was the key to his great season. Doesn't have that lazy attribute and was a monster in defence when he was defending on the line. Great to see him getting a huge wake up calling from his very poor first season with the Titans.

Idris is a bit like the blue Dave Taylor. He's very good, but often doesn't play like it. He should be put in SOO regardless, at least on the bench, because chances are he will lift and play hard, and when he does that he is devastating on both sides of the ball (DT more just offense, but more devastating). You can't stress enough the value of someone in SOO who could just produce a try from nothing by breaking a seemingly unbreakable line and scoring or offloading. Literally the difference between winning and losing these notoriously close grindy games.

Yeah, I can't count the times that Dave Taylor has been the difference between winning and losing for the Maroons...

I don't know of this Tone guy is trolling or what, bit I've never read a poster on this forum that is more wrong more often than him. It's remarkable.

This, what a disappointment. Like DT could be insanely handy for any team if played to his potential

My guess is, that's why Mal doesn't want him on the team. He can't consistently fulfill his potential. He has so much talent that he is happy with 4th gear in a six gear box. Not bludging by any means. Just not pushing himself.

Honestly Tony Williams wasn't that bad and it didn't help having two shittty halves who couldn't give him a bit of space to work with. Idris is beast, always been a fan of his but an even bigger one nowadays. He was having a great season and I think was being mentioned for a call up till he got injured. He's ability to read the game has improved out of sight last season. If he can replicate that form I would like to see him there somewhere. He's definitely a game breaker and one of the few players I've seen ever give it to Inglis. I remember in his 40 mins of SOO he came on and made some solid inroads and even scored a try.

Regardless of halves it was still t. Williams being flat footed with the ball. Idris is still suited for the second row imo. Coming off the bench as impact for the second row i wouldnt mind

1) Stewart
2) B. Morris
3) Hayne
4) J. Morris/Jennings
5) Ferguson
6) Carney
7) A. Reynolds
8) Gallen
9) Farah
10) Tamou
11) Watmough
12) Lewis
13) Bird

14) Fifita
15) Cordner
16) Grant
17) Hoffman

If Ferguson can't be there Hayne pushes out to wing for Jennings and Morris to be our centre pairing.

Fergo's got a long road ahead to prove that he deserves to be anywhere near NSW selection after the way the big slow f*ckwit screwed us over this year. Maybe Allah can get in his ear and motivate him.
