Newbie here,

Let's not waste time. This is the TEAM to win the SOS:

1: Dugan
2: Morris
3: Morris
4: Hayne
5: Mansour
6: Carney
7: Maloney
8: Tamou
9: Farah/Peats
10: Fifita
11: Bird
12: Lewis
13: Gallen

14: Reynolds
15: Merrin
16: Watmogh
17. Woods

Pearce have shown no form at all in SOS. They should've gone with Carney and Maloney in the halves last year. I think Mansour deserves a spot on the Wing going by his form. It is better to keep a consistency on certain players who actually can perform at SOS level.

Thank you

I have a sneaking suspicion that the NSW backline will be
HAYNE, MORRIS, JENNINGS, MORRIS, DUGAN, MALONEY, PEARCE.

My guess on Daley's backline
1. Hayne
2. B. Morris
3. Jennings
4. J. Morris
5. Richards/Taufua
6. J. Reynolds
7. Pearce

I don't think they will pick Richards or blood Taufau.

Don't be suprised if Dugan is picked on the wing and have a roving role.

If the roosters start winning, he will stick with the halves.

Too much negative press on maloney and lots of positive on J. Reynolds imo. Whoever is in the media good books seems to be selected. If J. Reynolds does at least alright in CvC he'll be there

Is it wrong for me to wish crippling mental illness on Daley so we don't have to endure another year of his idiocy?

1: Duga

16: Scott

Pot, kettle, black.

NSW can win this series. One of the keys will be Hayne at FB. He is wasted in the centers, and Dugan is thr human heart attack defensively.
Hayne has the ability to generate for himself and others in attack, and has excellent positioning and ability to make big plays in defense.

I have no idea how NSW fans can even think of shuffling him to accommodate hacksaw jim duggan.

FFS - Reynolds and Richards will not be there, probably neither j Morris - although if he starts to be more consistent in attack he will, but the other 2 are not even a hope- don't kid urself.

At this point I'd go something like...

1. Hayne
2. Richards
3. Morris
4. Jennings
5. Taufua
6. Mullen
7. Kelly
8. Gallen
9. Farah/Peats
10. Woods
11. Watmough
12. Lewis
13. Bird

14. Peats/Hinchcliffe
15. Fifita
16. Tamou
17. Cordner

B. Moz the main victim of the halves switchup - I had to get a genuine goal kicker in there in Richards... and he was the easiest to drop without compromising the rest of the team. Would love to see Kelly have a crack and play what's in front of him while Mullen controls the game with his boot.

Lots of impact on the bench, too.

16. Tamou
17. Lewis

Woods was unlucky not to be in my 17 but like Snowden, I think he lacks that bit of acceleration to get over the advantage line in Origin. The pace of the game seems to be too quick for them even though they are quality NRL props.

My Team

1. Jarryd Hayne - In my opinion, this is not even a discussion. Hayne is NSW's BEST PLAYER. He must be picked in his favoured position rather than be wasted on the wing or in the centres. The only thing Dugan has over him is his powerful kick returns. Hayne is simply superior in every other facet of the game - play making, defence, defusing bombs, etc
2. Brett Morris - obvious selection, is in very good form for Saints, has plenty of experience and is probably the best pure winger in the NRL.
3. Michael Jennings (if unfit, Jamal Idris or BJ Leilua) - hopefully Jenko is fit because he is very strong in both attack and defense and is a true X-Factor. If he is unfit i think Idris and Leilua should fight it out for the spot.
4. Josh Morris - always does an excellent job of defending Inglis. Hasn't been in the best of form but i'm pretty sure he will lift for Origin.
5. Pat Richards - Maloney is out possibly for 4-6 weeks (not that i would of picked him anyway, he's in terrible form) and NSW will need a good goal kicker.
6. Josh Reynolds - is probably the form half for NSW at the moment, Carney is playing average and Mullen just got back from injury.
7. Mitchell Pearce - Daley has confirmed that he will be the halfback. I would prefer we pick Reynolds and Mullen in the halves but Daley will not do it.
8. Paul Gallen - obvious selection, he is the captain and always plays well in Origin.
9. Robbie Farah (if unfit, Nathan Peats) - another obvious selection, he was probably the form Hooker of the comp before he went down with injury. If he is unavailable, i would go with Peats as he has been in red hot form.
10. James Tamou - hasn't had the best start to the season but should be given another shot.
11. Boyd Cordner - has a big future in the Blues jersey if he can translate his Roosters performances to Origin performances.
12. Greg Bird - was born to play origin, has never played a bad game for the Blues and must be selected.
13. Trent Merrin - he is in awesome form for Saints, hopefully that will translate to Origin.

14. Luke Lewis - was probably NSW's best player in last years series. Hopefully he is back in time for Game 1.
15. Anthony Watmough - hasn't set the world on fire but he is an incumbent with lots of experience and has never let anyone down at Rep level
16. Andrew Fifita - definately good enough to start but i think he provides a great impact off the bench, was great in last years series
17. Aaron Woods - has been playing very well for the Tigers and deserves his spot. Unfortunately Daley has confirmed Kurt Gidley will be selected and i think it might cost Woods his spot.
