Better or worse than what we're going to end up with?

That's pretty good. Reynolds is about the same as Pearce, Richards would do fine although I'd opt for Tupou or Taufau. J. Reynolds is the only one I don't like there. Interesting that Jennings got so few votes. Lewis will be there and he'll be one of our best as usual.

5. Morris
6. Reynolds
7. Mullen
8. Tamou
9. Farah
10. Fifita
11. Gallen

17. Sutton

im comin around to the idea of Bill Tupou a crack at right wing, he'll monster Darius with the cross field bombs, well now that NSW should have a halfback who can actually kick it there without screwing it up....

You obviously mean Daniel? Bill Tupou on the wing for NSW would make Merritt's effort look brilliant by comparison.

That's one of the best public team's I've ever seen. Usually they are riddled with ridiculous selections but that's pretty close to what I'd want.

big hit!

Reynolds and Reynolds??

why do the selectors and the coach cop shit when its obvious the readers of the SMH (and assuming are overwhelmingly NSWmen) are in the same class of nuffy too?

go in with those two and the NSW forwards need to absolutely dominate from beginning to end in all 3 games for the blues to have a chance of winning the series. no less.

Okay considering no Bird and Pearce

1. Hayne
2. Tupou
3. Jennings
4. Morris
5. Morris
6. A. Reynolds
7. Mullen
8. Gallen
9. Farah
10. Tamou
11. Watmough
12. Cordner
13. Merrin

14. Sutton
15. Fifita
16. Scott
17. Woods

Hayne to Fullback period. Jennings and Tupou have a Roosters connection, that just makes sense. And Adam Reynolds had a really good partnership in the city team kicking to Tupou. Could really expose the shorter Boyd. Mullen deserves a shot. I just worry if these two will be a bit over awed as a new partnership

Watmough starts, he is playing great. Sutton to bench, he gives back that versatility we are losing with no Bird or Lewis. Scott is playing really well. Woods might finally step up this year, but he didn't fill me with confidence in the City Country game. His club form is good though.

A friend of mine spoke to Laurie Daley last night. Daley was absolutely furious about Mitchell Pearce's behaviour. However he has hinted that he is considering the Michael Jennings-Daniel Tupou combination as a winner in the three quarter line, along with the two Morris brothers. Hayne has got the full back spot nailed down. However the team needs a quality goal kicker, which is why Maloney is still in the box seat if he plays well next weekend.

My guess for the NSW team now that Bird is certain to be unavailable, is:

Hayne

Tupou, Jennings, Morris, Morris

Maloney
Mullen

Gallen
Hoffman, Cordner
Tamou, Farah, Woods

Interchange:

Watmough, Fifita, Grant, Gidley

Switch Reynolds and Mullen around and we have a winner, hopefully

Yeah you're the only non-nuffy around mate. You should go select, coach and play all 13 positions for NSW.

Great spin from the NSW spin doctors. Daley right now would be moving heaven and earth to get Pearce back into the side. He would be pissed off that this situation will disrupt the smooth preparation for this Series. His biggest consideration would not be against Pearce's actions, merely their repercussions. Of course the publicly presented propaganda piffle will propose that The Blues strongly take a stance against all disrespectful behaviour aimed against Women.

Bullshit. If they actually did, they would drop Pearce for all time. Mark what happens. He will be back into the team at the first opportunity. Read: For Game 1.

He wants Pearce no matter what.

With Bird suspended why don't we try hayne at 6 with a combo of either peats or maloney and have brett at fb

You wot m8

We have a second rower out so we should move the fullback to five eight, and have debutant hooker in Peats play at halfback...?
