Yeah it's not like there is any pressure on the rookie Blues halves combination. For them it's an easy match:

They have no Origin experience.

Played in QLD.

They've never formed combinations with the other players(unlike QLD).

The weight of 9 Series losses if they don't succeed.

The fact that many, in form, try but few thrive at this level.


Should be a walk in the park for them....

To be fair, M. Pearce has been around derping up the joint a fair bit since then. But honestly mate, what changes do you make to that 17? If you dont think the Maroons have been beatable the past few years, then you are kidding yourself. If we had any sort of playmaker or killer instinct, we easily could have won the past THREE series.

We need someone to take control in the big moments before one of qld's superstars do. I wouldnt have blokes like Hoffman or Woods in there but hopefully they step up. Lets just see how this team goes next week.

Josh Morris has probably been the best defender on Inglis since Inglis started playing.

How will Idris do better? Idris isn't known for good defence.

Hutty makes a good point. Qld have been winning, but only doing just enough to get over the line, especially the past 2 series. With a more competent halfback playing for NSW, one who knows how to create constant pressure on the opposition backs and gain a territorial advantage late in the game, you'd be an idiot to think NSW wouldn't have been a decent chance of claiming at least one series these last two years...

Uate, Merritt, Ferguson etc have came and gone off the right wing yet Morris is untouched.

Idris is fine in defence gets lazy in attack at times but is bigger then Inglis for a start
