why would you bring in Jackson to be an emergency otherwise? surely another forward into camp should be a player who regularly plays in the middle? like someone above said, fenson would be more deserving. plays for a losing team though. what a merkin, eh?

and if you need to bring in yet another right-side forward into camp, you'd have Tariq Sims ahead of Jackson all f**kin day, and all f**kin night.

the overload of the season is alive and well........just like Manly, Saints, & easts in previous years.....it's now Canterbury and most of the players who contribute most to their performance this season are not in NSW camp. They're ineligible anyway.

Jasckon makes more Metres per run, tackle breaks, offloads, line breaks etc than Fenson per game.

On the slight chance he gets a run he will provide more impact than floppy Ploddy Fensom.


He's also in the squad as 19th man! In the unlikely event a player gets injured, hopoate will likely slot onto the bench. He's also one for the future. Fensom will never make it.

I thought Hodkinson was pretty good. Neither of the halves had much of a kicking game, the long kicking in particular was shit. Hayne kicked both of our good long kicks. I still struggle to see what Reynolds provides a football team outside of enthusiasm... but I certainly wouldn't change the halves. They can do enough to win the series if Hayne keeps playing like that.

The main thing is that the halves didn't actively harm our chances at all - they did a job and did it error free. I don't think NSW need much more than that, really. I'd still like to see a good kicking game in there somewhere, but the important thing is the halves are in good form, getting the ball where it needs to be and not making stupid mistakes. It'll be enough.

How can you say he was pretty good and then say the bolded? Hodkinson and Reynolds were awful and in the end had to give up the kicking game to Hayne because neither of them are capable. They may have been better than the roosters duo but calling them good is being WAY too generous.

Also if you count giving away dumb penalties then i disagree that Reynolds didn't make stupid mistakes. He almost lost us the game with his penalties.

That's a gutsy win, one I thought was beyond the nsw team. Can't drop their bundle next game. If we go back up there 1-1 we will have squandered our best chance to end the streak
