That was the real reason, I was only lol'ing at the way you put it. Anyways it was thanks to that incident and selection policy that won us the series that year. Pearce looked certain for selection after winning a premiership the year before until that angel in the yellow dress caught Pearces eye and he decided to jump out at her. Thanks to that incident it opened the door for Hokko and Reynolds who were instrumental in winning game 2. Hokko scored the only try and kicked all the points while Reynolds really got under Thurston's skin. Regardless of how wrong the NSW selectors are most of the time, everynow and then one of those ideas turns out for the best.
