Im happy with Barrett there. I remember reading a while back an interview with Nathan Brown back in the dragons days saying how Trent is like a big steam engine, starts the season very slowly each year, but once he gets the gears churning he gets better as the season goes on. This seems to have happened last year and this year. And hes playing in a sh*thouse side. People forget he was the one out of him and kimmorley last year in game three who had 2 or 3 try assists.
Hayne and Fuifui seem to be like this also. Fui particularly, he should get better and better as the season goes on and people get more niggling injuries and he actually gets fitter. Cant wait.
As for Jason King, I believe (from what ive seen of manly this year) that he has been their best prop. Mind you, why they need a manly prop instead of young guns Snowden and Mannah is a little baffling. Snowden/Mannah could be the next Price/Civ is they get given opportunities. Mannah in particular has shown he is up to it. And is hugely impactful of the bench to.
Mitchell is our great white hope as well (dont want to put too much pressure on him), but this year hes been reminding me of 2005 Jonathan Thurston. If Carney was as good as Bowen perhaps the Roosters might have a shot of making the grand final.
Who plays captain if kurt is relegated to bench (it seems he wont play fullback anyway, why else would they have brought in an injured Dugan to cover Jarryd.
Who knows..
