This guy is the Mitchell Pearce of second rowers.

If we win Game 1 our captain jumps up to an almighty 30% win record in Origin. To be fair though both ruined each others Origin careers by playing so many games together.
And to be even fairer, every Blues player has a significant losing record over the past 10-12 years because they were coming up against a bunch of the greatest players ever.

Jimmy Maloney - fantastic player. His Origin record is junk. Going to criticise him too?

Super serious analysis of the teams:

QLD:

1 Billy Slater: Can't handle the pressure at this level of the game.

2 Valentine Holmes: Is a fullback playing on the wing.

3 Greg Inglis (c): Kidnapped as a child because QLD needed all the help they could get.

4 William Chambers: Paul Gallens play thing.

5 Dane Gagai: Runs slower than Tyson "sexiest back rower in the comp" Frizell.

6 Cameron Munster: Can't work in a team environment. Doesn't play well with others.

7 Ben Hunt: Moved to NSW due to QLD being a sh*t hole. Butter fingers under pressure.

8 Dylan Napa: Highest I.Q in the team.

9 Andrew McCullough: Seems like a good bloke.

10 Jarrod Wallace: Poor bloke plays for the Titans.

11 Gavin Cooper: Bottom 8 forward. Pitty selection.

12 Felise Kaufusi: Never heard of her.

13 Josh McGuire: Needs penalties to win games.

--- Interchange

14 Michael Morgan: Pushed out of position for a young stud at club level.

15 Coen Hess: We already know Rocky beat Ivan Drago.

16 Josh Papalii: Will be tired after 10 mins.

17 Jai Arrow: Good player.

Vs

NSW:

1. James Tedesco: fixed his teeth and is more aerodynamic plus Caffeine in lattes makes him more alert to QLD shenanigans.

2. Tom Trbojevic: QLD will live in fear of his face.

Latrell Mitchell: His fend is powered by the infinity gauntlet.

James Roberts: Lets Barry Allen use some of his spped force so he doesn't get embarrassed on TV.

Josh Addo-Carr: Is actually powered by a 1.6 litre four-stroke turbocharged 90 degree V6 reciprocating engine.

James Maloney: Born winner

1. Nathan Cleary: Best chin in the game. It points him to victory.

8. David Klemmer: Eats the Corpses of his feeble QLD opposition.

9. Damien Cook: Literal Rabbit. You can not catch him.

10. Reagan Campbell-Gillard: The Mustache of Doom for QLD. Uses the back fence to launch into the opposition like a missile.

11. Boyd Cordner (c): Has been stifled by coaching restrictions at club level. Freddy will unleash an offload and teach him how to run 2 good lines!!

12. Tyson Frizell: Fastest forward in the game and the strength of 10 men.

13. Jack de Belin: Supreme specimen of a man and Destroyer of opposition attacking players.

14. Paul Vaughan: Uncomplicated by the burden of intelligence. The Hilk wants to be Vaughan when he grows up.

15. Jake Trbojevic: Best tackle technique in the game. Can cut 3 QLD players in half at the same time.

16. Angus Crichton: Cut his finger off for the love of the game. Will teach QLD what passion is.

17. Tyrone Peachey: The physical embodiment of the football gods sent to absolve NSW of it's sins.

18. Tariq Sims: Named at 18 because it'd be unfair to play him on the field. Second best Sims behind Ruan.

19. Nick Cotric: Future NSW origin star. On the reserves because his mere presence will defeat QLD.

Fittler picked about the best team you could, and based it on form to boot. Haven’t seen that in origin in a long while.

All the clowns in the media complaining about Graham’s “snubbing”.... merkin singlehandedly cost us the series last year with dropped balls and penalties. Should be stamped never to play again

Sims is very unlucky to not be there on form.

Its not Jimmys fault he was stuck with Pearce for most of his Origin career. Only had one good halves partner before this series. He and Moylan. 100% together

Just as he and Cleary will be.

And Shane Webcke hardly won any games as well. Must've been a nobody.

Aha I see!

So there's excuses for the Panther with the bad losing record, but not the others.

Imagine my surprise!

You're right.

Maybe the GWS Giants can vacate the team house at Breakfast point for the next ten days. That's west right? (Sorry I'm a Manly fan from Willoughby and I'm not sure at all what happens after the Big W at the Macquarie Centre)

The real world happens brah

Breakfast Point may as well be Bondi as far as I’m concerned... the merkins should be hauled up at Rooty Hill RSL so they can breathe in the passion and fumes of Datsun 180s and VK Commodores, not from Fiats and Vespas

He was not a Panther when he lost.

Cordner is the only player I am criticizing. And its because he's shit. His record just happens to be the best evidence of that.

2 wins in 9 appearances. Not even averaging a win per series.

This was pretty catty and I got defencive:

"Classic panthers fans making themselves relevant. If they were NSW selectors they’d have their whole 17 as the nsw team."

I think the part that makes us relevant is the #1 spot on the ladder(along with the other top 4 members) for however a brief but sweet time it lasts.
Funny this whole conversation back and forward was around 3pm. Waiting for school buses to take you all home?

I'm really excited to watch a few 1 on 1 battles out there:

Nathan Cleary v Cameron Munster
James Maloney v Ben Hunt
Latrell Mitchell v Will Chambers
James Roberts v Greg Inglis
Tom Trbojevic v Valentine Holmes

And of course

David Klemmer v The entire Queensland forward pack.
Can only see you winning one of those battles. Biggest win for us is chambers v mitchell

To say the qld legends were greatest ever doesn't give enough credit to the supporting cast, the better tactics, and the succession plan that has worked so well that we have shed most of the thirty somethings while continuing winning and giving new talent experience
