Sunday prime time. It's fairly obvious. It's the biggest night of the TV week.
why do you think the NFL have Sunday Night Football?
No Cotric kind of negates this. Kid is the best winger in the game at the moment. Everyone's crapping on about how NSW have speed and blah blah blah. You need a merkin in the backline who's going to put in early in sets before any one can show off their flash, particularly in a high tempo match such as Origin where forwards get gassed fast. Fittler doesn't have one. He's selected a touch footy side. No balance.
Agree re Graham. I've been saying it since full-time Game 2 last series.
Because this team isnt the NSW Cup team.how are woods, frawley, hoppa, jackson & the morris twins not in this side?????????????
People actually like Nathan(he's not an arrogant little f**k like Myth at the same age) and he isn't playing for the rorters so he can survive a series loss if that happens, no doubt people will take aim at Cordners selection if we do lose though. For one thing he is about the only player in the squad who didn't get picked on form and secondly his leadership is questionable given he captained one of NSW worst series loss last year, a complete capitulation in a series we should've won comfortably.
Yeah captain and coach are never blamed for the losses !
Well Cordner has done nothing to suggest he should be the origin captain. And Fitler has done nothing but be the last man standing to in order to get the gig as origin coach.
If NSW lose this series than yes, they will be to blame.
Who was a better halfback at the time?
No you can't pick the opposition but if they're clearly better than you then there's only so much you can do.
People fawn over how great QLD were for a decade and in the next sentence whinge that NSW kept losing.
Well duhhhh...
They just don't get it. Young Nathan has hit the jackpot here by being chosen as halfback the very next year after Cronk, Thurston and Smith have retired. They refuse to recognise that fact but I do wish him well and hope he excels.
So you are apportioning blame for something yet to happen and if it does happen you don't yet know how it came to be.
Out of interest, will you congratulate and recognise both as the reason we won if we do win? If it is their fault we lose, it must be because of them we win. Everyone else is inconsequential either way?

This is coming from the same bunch who were screaming for Matt Moylan to be in the team last year as he was the future of NSW. It was like he died when he left the dump, he has never been mentioned again.

Maybe because Cleary has a club combo with Maloney so it makes sense to partner them while blooding Cleary at origin level. gives us one experienced half and one debutant a club combo and the halves coming first in the NRL comp. Love Moylan and hope he keeps improving at the Sharks but he can't compete with this for selection.
Rorters fans melting down! lol.
Only Manly(Bozo) can match it with the roosters for getting underserving players into SOO. Myth had a mortgage on the 7 jersey for 10 years amd did not turn in even one above average performance, excuse after excuse was made for the dud, his only decent performance was game 1 2017 in which nsw cruised to an easy win so pearcey was never really put under pressure.. Now we will be stuck with an undeserving Cordner getting picked over better players for years because he got lucky to be made captain last year, don't even start me on Fergo the dud, the one year he might actually deserve to get picked on form and we cant pick him because he took the piss last series and went drinking with ole mate duges.
Its been 10 years of roosters duds in the origin team and over 10 years of losing, now go away.
Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with Cleary's selection and wish him nothing but the best.
No meltdown, just pointing out facts.
Pearce was the only rooster consistently in the team the last 10 years. Who else are you referring to?
I have no problem with Fergo not getting a run, I would have had Cotric over Turbo though. I have reservations over Latrell too but hoping his X factor outweighs the lapses in concentration.
As for Cords, best get used to his presence as he will deservingly be there for years to come. I look forward to his Kangaroos captaincy too.
Off the top of my head Pearce, Daniel Tupou, Fergo - Neither of these guys are good enough to play in multiple series. There was always better options but they kept getting picked despite never standing up, and now Cordner gets added to the list, Sims easily deserved that spot.
Fergo and Tupou have a combined 11 games on the wing for NSW, guess how many tries they scored between them?
JenningsThe only other roosters players i can think that have been in NSW since 2006 are anasta who played the vast majority of his SOO games prior to being a rooster, maloney who has since been chosen whilst representing other clubs, fitzgibbon who always performed at rep level and Anthony minichiello.
So to say that roosters players being unduly selected as the reason for our SOO struggles is a complete myth.
Jennings
And which one is that? Can only see you winning one of those battles. Biggest win for us is chambers v mitchell
In all honesty Pearces contribution to Queensland has been greater then any of those players.JT, Smith & Cronk are gone and THAT'S the main thing.
Because this team isnt the NSW Cup team.
I do realise you were joking though.
