You miss the point. Depending what you read, Klemmer, Fifita, Cordner, Jackson and Jake (forgot him) were all the best forwards for NSW. The truth is the lot of em were steamrolled when it mattered.

Klemmer averaged 173m per game including an average of 80m post contact and he was steamrolled?

Quality thread this.
Really enjoying the confidence being shown by the blues faithful. Can't wait for this game.

It's nice to not have an idiot coaching(sure he's a space cadet :joy:). We could lose but at least some good decisions are being made finally and that's exciting.

Oh yes, because rehab jimmy and an embryonic Latrell and Ivan would have dominated Cronk, Smith and JT

What's that got to do with anything? The point is NSW fans are excited because the coach is willing to take a risk. Win or lose they're actually trying to mix it up.

A good explanation:

That’s all well and good in hindsight mate, but who were you screaming for that should have been in the squad back then that could beat the best side in history? I reckon NSW could pick a few different combos this year that should get the job done.

Stop talking about wining. Its irrelevant. The point is about trying something different instead of doing the same thing every year and expecting different results.

Last year Dylan Walker was the best centre in the game or close to it. But they picked an out of form Hayne.

Don't pick Woods, pick Vaughan or RCG with Vaughan being my prefered for last year's series.

Don't pick Pearce, Pick anyone at all. Blake Greeen would have done a job while waiting for Cleary.

Plus more. NSW has options but Loz wouldn't look at them because he was scared of his own experience debuting young (his words) and he was overly loyal (Ricky Stuart said as much).

Loz literally admitted on the Big sports breakfast he was picking favourites over form players a couple weeks ago. That's how Blake Ferguson got 7 games on the wing without ever scoring a try besides the multiple shocking defensive lapses that gifted QLD a try. Laurie was always way to nice to be an origin coach but picking favourites each year and disregarding form is a joke. He somehow created a culture on complacency and entitlement in a team that has won one series in 14 years or whatever, that is crazy.

I will agree that to never see Woods and Pearce in the sky blue again is a good thing because they have had sustained personal failure at that level. But I wouldn’t be putting a line through the likes of fergo, dugan, graham, fifita (rules allowing) as it is all about winning and if they are considered as the best chance to get that win down the track.

Yes there is a ‘dickhead’ line that can be crossed, but only team management will know what that is...it certainly shouldn’t be determined by the telecrap or the usual Queensland snipers.

Fifita, Graham, Dugan out of that list deserve to be considered in my opinion. I actually thought Dugan was good last year.

Fifita chose Tonga and that's not a bad thing but it's one or the other unless we are desperate with injuries.

I dunno about the rest of the guys you mentioned but Fergo and Duges will never wear sky blue again. They have f**ked up in more than one origin camp, Laurie was the one who brought them back and stuck by them after their first origin banishment and they f**k around on him last year.

After last years epic failure a big change was absolutely needed. That was one of NSW worst series losses ever. When you look at how the series went, we dominated half of it and then switched off and got towelled up.
