by green goggles are you implying everyone is jealous of parramatta and hayne? because thats quite frankly the stupidest thing i have ever heard

No i meant Raiders goggles. Why would i imply everyone's jealous of Hayne and Parra. Each to their own if you ask me!! And i agree with the above, i don't see what Dugan has over Hayne either..

1. Billy Slater
2. Brett Morris
3. Greg Inglis
4. Justin Hodges/Mark Gasnier - whoever is back and playing better, Lyon doesn't want to be there, plus he hasn't done ANYTHING at rep level since about 2003 so f*ck him
5. Jarryd Hayne - Hayne got a bit lucky that Folau is retiring I think, it would have been Folau but they won't pick him for Australia now. Boyd would have to also be strongly considered
6. Darren Lockyer (c)
7. Jonathon Thurston
8. Petero Civoneceva
9. Cameron Smith
10. David Shillington
11. Nate Myles
12. Sam Thaiday
13. Ashley Harrison - definitely deserves his test debut

14. Cooper Cronk
15. Luke Lewis
16. Anthony Watmough
17. Dave Taylor

So whats that - 3, maybe 4 NSWelshmen if Gasneir is back. Sounds about right. Will never happen though.

Whoever is calling for Dugan to be included is kidding themselves, he is so far behind Slater at the moment it's not funny. Maybe he'll be there one day, but Slaters got the fullback position wrapped up at the moment, and there's not any room for Dugan anywhere else.

But as I said in another thread, the team picked will no doubt have some terrible NSW forwards like Weyman, White or Perry along with one 'flavour of the month' - example Mannah or someone that gets talked up heaps by the Sydney papers.

Well the Green goggles everyone else seems to have on piss me off too!

You might be able to get away with accusing me of having green goggles on, but not the numerous other neutral fans who know Dugan's better than Hayne.

What does Dugan have over Hayne?

LOL, don't start me.

Pointless debate.
Bobby,

I think Anti Lag is right.

The fact of the matter is both of us see what Hayne and Dugan do for parra/raiders respectively and therefore we believe they are the better player.

I watch every single parra game and i see the things Hayne does for our team, and how he pulls us out of some serious ruts and to me that makes him a great player. He might not be as flashy as last year scoring tries left right and centre, but believe you me, every parra supporter knows that he is invaluable to our team.

You probably feel the same way about Dugan. You have a right to because Dugan is a very talented player.

The reason i am sticking up for Hayne so much is because i think to judge his abilities on his performance for NSW with the team we had is just ridiculous. Judge him by what he does every week for his club.

Slater
Morris/Hayne
Inglis
Hodges (Lyon if Hodges not fit)
Boyd (I don't think he's a better player than Morris or Hayne, but results should be rewarded)
Lockyer
Thurston
Civ
Smith
Hannant
Thaiday
Watmong
Lewis

Shillington
Myles
Gallen
Cronk (our other half after Lockyer retires)

And the Dugan/Hayne debate is nonsense. Dugan is a fantastic ball runner, but has nowhere near the ball playing ability of Hayne, who is also a fantastic ball runner.

Hayne is way better, he took a pretty average looking Eels team all the way to the grand final last year, pretty much by himself. When Dugan does that, then let's talk.

After coming down from the high of Wednesday night when I posted this I've had a bit better chance to reconsider, but I can't see how any other players from that NSW game 2 side deserve to be in the Aussie team.

Luke Lewis had slipped from my memory, and I do believe he deserves the lock spot. He's the form 13 in the comp and does everything Harrison does, but adds leadership and better ball skills. Watmough should jag himself a bench spot, has a few runs on the board at rep level.

Fact is anyone who says you can't discount club form when picking the Aussie sides are forgetting that the Queensland players are also killing it for their clubs. It's quite easy to justify a Queensland dominated Aussie side, no matter which argument you take.

!. Slater
2. Morris
3. Tonga
4. Inglis
5. Boyd
6. Lockyer
7. Thurston
8. Civoniceva
9. Smith
10. Shillington
11. Thaiday
12. Myles
13. Lewis

14. Cronk
15. Scott
16. Hannant
17. Watmough

Boyd has been in great form, proven by the fact that he was won 15 million (/fatty) MotM awards in a row. I would have him over Hayne or Morris, but wouldn't have a problem with whoever was picked. Lewis definitely deserves a spot, possibly Watmough, and I haven't seen TLL do much wrong.

And OF COURSE Tonga should be there :p

Heaps of NSWmen would make an Australian side.

Clarke, Haddin, Katich, Watson, - Hughes is very talented.
