I'm actually coaching the boys over at Wests, and they were very happy at Norths. We were more than happy for them to stay up there if they were playing ball this year. Providing they stay on the current trail they're on, they've got big futures

Coach Can you help us out with news on any of the Wests junior rep teams for next year ? Players ? Draw ?


As usual Wests website hasn't been updated for the last 3 months..

No worries, I'll keep all the people here at LU updated on our boys as we get ahold of it.

SG Ball first trial is Jan 16 against I think Souths. Squad is currently 30 (give or take) players, and looks very strong

Matts are still training as a large squad with the SWSAS team, they should split after the christmas break. Wests are heavily involved in the SWSAS league program this year.

17s Development (<- where I am) have a trial Jan 16 at Win Woolongong against Illawarra SG Ball/17s Development

I am the one who updates the Magpies website and I have to say the amount of information I get from the club is pathetic. How hard is it to send an email? I volunteer my time to do the updates around my actual work so I can't be calling them constantly trying to plead for more information.

I find more content for the site from hunting through nswrl.com.au and forums like this than I do from the club office.

If it wasn't for Yappy, I often wouldn't even know the NSW Cup team that we were fielding each week.

So if anyone can contribue info, please do so on the 'Wests Supporter Forum' (google search it) so I can make sure it gets added to the website or send me an email to galahs.australia at gmail.com

Sorry Galahs mate.. I didn't know you updated the Wests web site I thought it would be Tracy or some other paid office staff...I know you do a great job and I of course I have nominated you for President!

Seriously what is the problem with Wests, why cant we get information ?

What is the Wests Harold Matts team ? What is the Wests SG Ball team ?

What does the Wests club office actually do ?

Do they have an information person ?

Do they have computers ?

Do they know what year it is ?

Mate I am not sure.

I would love to help more but like I said I have my own job I need to worry about. Living in the Hunter doesn't help much either.

I'll raise it at the AGM and see if we cannot get the flood gates of information to open so the website can fullfill its duty of actually informing its supporters and keeping them in the loop.

It would also be good if I got a few match photos from them too, but maybe I'm pushing my luck there lol

So yeah, I appologise for not being able to do more, but I can only publish what I'm given.

saw the knights take on manly on sat, they looked ok had some good quality players including there lock and second row, although think they will really struggle to be a contender this year, wait and see how they go against parra this weekend, although i did think that manly had the better of them the whole game some good big frontrowers, good to see....:sarcasm:

Had a look at the Tigers V Bulldogs game last Friday night.

Tigers looked good in Matthews.

Bulldogs very dominant in Ball. David Minute running riot.
