Sure our pack is going well this year but imagine how good if Nuts was there also. He was nearly a one man pack on some occasions last year. The guy is all heart. Imagine the young blokes following him and Thommo this year.

perhaps nutleys absence has provided room for the new big hitters

he wasnt exactly the most feared tackler

guys have a look if they see stosic bearing down on them in defence

they slow up and make mistakes

that wasnt the case with nutley

As i look forward to the progress of that other pitiful channel 9 myth boytoy of yours - "simmo"

actually, the correlation between you and channel 9 man-made myths is quite damning

In the past you've fallen hook line and sinker for the following media myths

"bird is the next freddy" ....
"simmons is the fastes bloke ....ever" ....
"jason ryles is the greatest prop the game has seen"

I'll take your word for it, but do you concede that it looks as if pogo is looking forward to Dykes failing and you Simmo failing?

dont be f**king ridiculous, i wont concede anything.....

The fact that a player under performs so consistently is basis enough to have the opinion that he will continue to under perform in the immediate future ......To say that i am hoping for a player in a crucial position to fail, is f**king bullsh*t .....To say that i think he'll fail based on past performances is closer to the mark

The difference between me and bobo

*bobo berates proven performers (nutley, dykes, peachey), and smokes the poles of consistent under performers
*i berate under performers

Nuts would have kept Douglas in PL. No way Dougals woulda got a round 2 jersey over Hutch if Nutley was still around.

That about sums it up for me.
And Douglas is arguably headed for the "rookie of the year" award.

Nutley's presence here hindered the progress of the club.

But I'll concede he'd be a better option than Hutch off the bench.

I think this topic should be re-visited in 4 weeks time . If injury has affected ONE of our thin prop ranks , some people may well re-assess whether having nuts here would benefit our season or not.

Williams is a fine player, but physically still a year away at least from being a regular first grade prop forward, even from the bench.

Thommo playing there during games along with williams is purely a stop gap method forced on Raper due to lack of depth. Our backrow is so strong that raper picks backrowers on the bench and rotates them into the front row, rather than picking out of form, or low class alternatives from a poorly performing reserve grade side.

not the point beeks

the club recruited replacements for nuts and injuries have already taken their toll

you cant have 10 props on the payroll in case of injuries
