I still think we've got our work cut out for us, after the first 30 mins this really has turned into a road with our only other wicket coming from an awful shot from Bell. We really are going to miss Jacob Oram here.

Collingwood now gone. This is the crucial partnership, if we can break it soon then we could roll them for under 300.

Pitch is fine.

If we get Pietersen soon then could be around 200-220 but anything under 300 is a great effort.

Then the batsmen need to step up. Wonder how our batiing order is going to change with Elliot coming in? I'd have McCullum and Vettori move up a spot each and have Elliot at 8.

Elliott will bat 6

Pitch is flat as, 5 England batsman have just gotten themselves out, partly through the pressure exerted from our bowlers

Matthew Bell just played his last test for New Zealand. He shouldn't have played in this test IMO, he looks more out of his depth than Cumming. The real question is who the hell do we replace him with for the tour of England? The selectors have talked about giving guys a decent run at the position and the one bloke they didn't extend that luxury to and the bloke who I think can succeed at this level is Michael Papps.

Great performance on debut for Southie though, the future without Bond isn't looking so grim afterall. I think an attack of Martin, Southie, Mills and Vettori with Patel as a second spin option is looking very promising going forward.

Poor old Bell is cooked mentally, you can see it with everything he does at the crease

Can he pull out an innings in the next dig to save his career and set up a win, probably not

Flem looking pure class again, please go on with it

LOL, poor old Bell

Beefy "Word coming from the NZ camp is Chris Martin is disappointed he is batting behind Bell"

9.4 Anderson to Fleming, SIX, short, wide and he's gone again...this time all the way over deep point, that was a long hop from Anderson and Fleming went up and over
9.3 Anderson to Fleming, FOUR, three in a row, driven square through the off side this time...played at the top of the bounce and place perfectly
9.2 Anderson to Fleming, FOUR, and again, this time an cover drive as Anderson over pitches on off stump...Fleming frees his arm through the line, he's off and running
9.1 Anderson to Fleming, FOUR, top shot from Fleming, best of the day, as he drives off the back foot through the covers...he's again looking a class apart in New Zealand's top order

Lunch

Sensational morning for NZ, 1 more session like that and the match should be unlosable

93/1 from 20 overs

Fleming 56* (62) 9x4 1x6
How 30* (56) 6x4

How has scored 29 from his last 32 balls, and some sensational pull and hook shots in there

Anderson 7-1-54-0, he really is an enigma

I havent seen Bell bat for a long time (is he the guy with the ridiculous stance?) but hes coping a pasting here and everyones on about no suitable replacements. Whats wrong with PEter Fulton? I dont have any stats or anythintg to back it up I just thought he looked solid when I have seen him play.

Fleming and How both gone now with an out of form Sinclair at the crease and a debutant next in, we're certainly not on top yet.
