The hardcase thing for me is that Sam Perret seems to be universally considered a solid dependable winger who never lets anyone down...

Yet I have vivid memories of him having some absolute howlers in the kiwi jersey against GB.

I know Perret isn't in the squad at the moment... But it just shows that test football is a different beast to club football.

Beauty and the beast on the wings for me. RTS and Manu. Don't know why he's so criminally underrated by other fans, he's a first choice pick for most kiwis. Go back and watch some of the kiwis games without Manu, we barely get out of our half without him kick starting the set.

Neither Locke or Hoffman covered themselves in glory yesterday but Hoff is the incumbent so I'd give him the nod. Both seemed to run their outside men out of space when they came into the backline....Manu got put in touch a couple of times off a Hoffman short ball that left him no room to move in.

I quite like it. Ka Mate is getting a bit stale and this differentiates us from the All Blacks and the inevitable dick measuring contest about who does the best kapa haka.

Wonder if the "throat slitting" gesture will cause as much uproar as it did with the pussy union media the first time the AB's did Kapa O Pango? Haha

I think maybe Kearney should consider playing Hoffman at FB on defence & play RTS at FB on attack. I really do not trust Vatuvei in a kiwis jersey especially in a tight contest.

Yeah, dumb players make dumb decisions, and Vatuvei is the king of stupid decisions, particularly under pressure. Throw his butter fingers into the mix, it makes him far to big of a liability in the side, just for the sake of a couple of good early tackle hit-ups? no thanks.

Only advantage the bore blacks have is they have like 20+ guys on the field.

A few too many white boys in the bore blacks to be better than Kiwis. Luke & JWH are the best haka peformers in the biz. When we had Luke, JWH, Marshall, Blair & Rapira...that was the crew right there. Maori are obviously naturally better at the haka than any other race.

There's no real 'tikanga' to facing it...
