If they locked up all the weirdos in Church Street Mall our stadium crowds would drop by 50%.

Poupou, did you go to Eastwood Hotel on Thursday nights for $2 pints and free kfc/pizza?

I don't remember free food. Whenabouts was this?

There was heaps of free food around in the 90's. Liquor licensing laws required food to be served to patrons in some bars. I assume that they operated under restaurant license and the cops would turn a blind eye.

I recall going to many sleezy places in the cross (Taboo, Test Tube Factory, The Tunnel, and that underground place that had bands etc) and be given pasta & bread even if you didn't want it.

In fact there was another live band venue in Parra (in Ross Street where the squash courts used to be ?) that had to do the same thing. They used to bring out plates of hot chips all night.

Yep that's it. What a dive that place was. A big bikie hang out IIRC.

I don't recall seeing any of those bands there but do think I saw Rose Tattoo supporting Motorhead (?). I'm surprised I have any recollection actually considering the hammering I would give the brain cells back then.
