I'm just not a fan of death bowlers bowling length balls... I really don't see the point.

They need to be on the batsman toes more often than not...

The yorker is the forgotten delivery of cricket.

Can't understand why few very today can bowl it consistently and effectively, hardly anyone even bothers trying

Batsman are so good at picking up the length that they will just cream a yorker that's over pitched. Its tough on bowlers basically. There is such a small room for error.

I really doubt any batsman in the world today can 'cream' genuine quality yorkers, that's the whole problem, nobody can bowl it without turning it into a half volley or low full toss.

Doesn't help either that boundaries are smaller and pitches are far too batting friendly (or in commentator speak 'good')

Let's see the modern batsman take on Shoaib Akhtar, Michael Holding, Waqar Younis etc. charging in and crushing the toes ball after ball

As I mentioned earlier, there was no need for Haddin to throw his wicket away.
