Tohu to Adam Blair's job as junior coach. Not a fact or even a rumour just what I reckon would be good for everyone. Spend his cap space on someone great and mid-career.

No thanks.

Montoya, there was a guy who eked out all the ability he had. Which wasn't massive, but especially this year I came to appreciate he was a 100% every week guy. Apparently one of the nicest guys out, too. Won't be missed from a playing perspective and I doubt he has much more NRL in front of him, but he was a guy who gave it his all and was loved by his team mates.

Always the best for club culture Montoya was

Tohu hasn't played since June 29, he's 32, I really feel like if he can push himself, he can get through one more season. It was a wrist injury that ruled him out, so that's repairable. I know he's lost pace and a spring in his step, but honestly I feel like as a champion player, he can - and will - get himself up for one more time around before retirement.

Tohu has more in him I agree. The extended rest will be good for the body. One more season and finish strong.

A wrist injury doesn't make someone avoid contact. Tohu looks broken. Hopefully he you guys are right and he can get himself right for one last good year.

Yeah he did look broken, I'm probably being overly optimistic but I've learnt over the years that the greats can do things you wouldn't expect of them. He'll be fiercely determined to go out in a better manner than he would if he can't get out there next year.

Am I going mad or was yesterdays SLGF not on Sky anywhere? Would have been nice to watch it.

Yea I agree. And TBH I’ve felt like Tohu has been playing busted for the last two seasons. The man personifies warrior but he goes into games now with more strapping than a racehorse.

Hopefully he gets his body sorted over the offseason but if he can’t, starting Walker at 13 has gotta become a consideration. Clarke can (hopefully) bring similar energy Walker usually adds from the bench, and Fish and Barnett are bona-fide rep players who can definitely fill the leadership vacuum.

Whatever way Webby goes, just hope he doesnt make the same mistake with Tohu as he did with SJ.

Corey Oates announced his retirement last week.

The strange saga of Ben Hunt continues as he will hit the market Nov 1 with the Dragons indicating he isn’t required. 12 months ago he made it clear he wanted out and they refused, and during the year it flipped around to he now wants to stay
