It’s not so munch Chad. It’s the 2022 final that burns. And the way it was celebrated.

I have seen the black pearl take the mighties apart in the 80s.
I have seen the sludge rip apart teams and his son score many many tries…I have even witnessed the Noddy hand the immortal a lesson ..I have never seen a couple of ex team members treating fans like those two did that terrible night in 22. And they were lucky to win that game .

The biggest test this year for me isn't the team itself, it's Fitzy.
I'm feeling very reserved about predictions this year.
We basically have the same squad as last year, same coaching staff.
I do not want to see the same results.
A big test for Fitzy.
If we see a similar season to last the doubts will start to surface.
If there is a marked improvement, especially in defence, then we'll know he is the coach we hoped for.

The only bold prediction I can make is that The Pennies will not win this year. That's not a slight on them, they are one of the greatest teams I've ever seen, but I saw a glitch towards the end of the season. I've got a feeling that glitch will surface and another team will have a one off season of power.

Well the focus has to be same as last year. Every individual has to improve 5-10% and do it in a team focussed way to benefit the wholistic effort of the organisation.

I think there can be improvement and I expect it to come from whoever wears 8,10 or is a bench prop. They have a lit bunsen burner up their arses. That hopefully filters to the backs. Won't work if players under pressure play selfishly to try and shore up their futures.
