We will unearth new talent, we have the right people looking.
It will be injuries that will cull teams this season. The game is full of violent body contact ,

10th is quite possible if injuries to key players or the squad is stale from lack of new players.

One positive is we won't have 7 starters backing up from The World Cup. A lot of players in that tournament, across the NRL, had shit years in 2023 e.g. Teddy. That WC didn't finish till November. Was a long year for semi finalists and rep players. Diminished recovery time and all that. I'm convinced that had big impact across the NRL.

Stability can lead to cohesion or it can lead to complacency. I can see it going either way. I really wanted to ruthless execution last season and it wasn't there enough.

To improve significantly we would need to see a number of players go to a new level. If we don't see breakout seasons from key players, it could easily mean fringe 8.

Completely agree with this. For us to be contenders, in my opinion there’s a few dependencies (in addition to the pre-requisite of good luck with injuries);

Kennedy has to be at his best, and firing come finals.
Nicho has to maintain his performance levels.
Tricky needs to fire.
Brailey needs to lift - he HAS to become more dominant, has to run more, has to become an attacking threat around the try line.
2 out of Hunt, BHU, Toby, Tommy OK need to consistently be in the 2nd tier of elite props (none of them can be Haas/Tino/AFB, but 2 of them need to be the rung below)

For us to be a serious premiership threat, all of the above has to happen - any 1 of them doesn’t happen, we’re ‘also rans’, at best. (I’ll accept Dykes braining it instead of Tricky/Will - but that’s highly unlikely).

Someone needs to be the Game Manager and that is either or both Brailey and Nico.
