So who are the Pats OLBs now? Adalius was playing mostly on the inside wasn't he? Even if you slide him outside who else you got, surely not Tully Banta Cain
Curry will go in the top 10, Pats won't get near him, may need to draft a guy like Larry English or Robert Ayers
Adalius is a better OLB than he is ILB. He is one side and on the other side we will either get Curry with a draft pick or they will put Crable there. Crable is a LB they Pats got in the draft and was AWESOME in pre-season and in the moments he came on before injury in the season.
I know the Pats like to sign older players and hope they have a little left in them but gee I have to ask about them signing Fred Taylor. The guy just turned 33 years of age. Well past the used by date for rb's. He didn't have a great season last year. Rushing for just over 500 yards at an average of 3.9 and just one td.
The Pats signed Corey Dillon to be the main running back at age 31. He was another who was supposedly washed up. He won a Superbowl and holds the Patriots single season rushing record.
Taylor is an awesome big bopper that will come on and give relief to Morris or Maroney. Give him 10-12 carries a game and watch him explode during the season.
He is signed for 2.5 mil in the first year and then 2 mil in the 2nd year. Bargain.
It's a typical Pats hire, they will pair Taylor up with Morris and Jordan to split carries. Although the stats aren't that good I watched a couple of Jags games last season and Taylor still had some pop, he will come in and provide some insurance for the Pats, with a chance to win himself a ring.
You mean Morris and Maroney. Jordan won't be coming back IMO.
Thats why he signed with the Pats. Hoping to win the super bowl. Supposedly receieving $2m-$2.5m over the next two seasons. Can't fault him for signing with NE.
But I do have to ask why NE signed him.
Only the Pats and Bills were interested, what team would you rather go to?
CB Lito Shepphard has been traded to the Jets for a 2009 5th round pick and a conditional 2010 pick depending on playing time (2nd-5th rounder)
The Jets HAVE to be over the cap.
They may have a gun defence, but they don't have a QB.
