Lovely ball from Kelly to Hunt there. Kelly held it up perfectly before handing it off to Hunt who steps inside his opposite to score.

lol.....commentator confusing Api with Lasalo.....only about 30kgs difference.

Jones reels in the ball and pops it off the Lee Mossop. Ualesi takes the next hit up before Mossop wants some more action with a second carry.

Fui centres the ball before Ma'afu brings up the last.

Kelly bombs it towards to posts where it is well taken by the Cutters.

Interestingly, there was more talk from our NYC defensive line compared to Wenty.

The Cutters find some space down our right before Faraimo gets across for cover but the Cutters breach Went's goal line on their last tackle as a messy bomb is scooped up by the Cutters' #17 and he scores next to the posts.

Rapid fire start to this match.

The conversion is successful.

The Cutter level the score at 6-all.

This O'Brien bloke is big.

Some strong defence from Fui and Mossop early in this set but the Magpies concede the first penalty of the game to build some pressure on themselves.

Play reumes 10m into Wenty's half.

The Cutters attack down Wenty's left edge but the Magpies defend well. Illawarra come back towards the posts afterwards but the ref finds a forward pass in the play and Wenty get a soft turnover.

Wenty quickly earn their own penalty back and take play up to halfway.

Mossop tries to take a ball off his shoulder into contact but loses control and the Cutters find themselves back in possession.

They attack our right edge from the scrum win before a dominant tackle drives them into touch on their second tackle.

Patchy stuff thus far.

Ualesi and Mossop lead the way early in this set befoe Fui's tip on is called forward.

Yet another scrum on half way, as the Cutters get the ball back once more.

Six more for the Cutters as Toutai tries to dive on a loose pass from them but knocks on. The ref brings play back for a scrum.

The Cutters quickly shift the ball to their left from the scrum but Faraimo jams well on his opposite to force a mistake on Parra's goal line.

Parra ruck it out towards halfway but a loose pass is swept up by Sam Williams and the half has open field and only Fui chasing him as he motors 50m down field to score.

Ordinary start from both teams here but the Cutters were able to eventually prosper from Wenty coughing up possession in their own half.

The conversion is successful.

The Cutters lead Wenty 12-6

Strong contact from Wenty but they allow an offload. Ben Jones completes a great tackle but the ref penalises Wenty for holding down and the Cutters take play up to halfway.

No patience from the Cutters as they try to generate an overlap down Wenty's left edge.

Their centre tries to tip the ball on but has no control on the motion and the ball flies into touch.

Wenty scrum 30m out from their goal line.

Good offload from Fui there but Wenty can't do much with the second phase ball.

Joseph Ualesi beats a few to make a handful of metres but can't break through the line and he brings up the last.

Wenty roll a grubber through on the last but the Illawarra winger is perfectly positioned to take it.

Good metres for the cutters in this set before they look to create something down Wenty's right. Faraimo holds off from committing, making the correct call before tackling his opposite.

Hunt takes the ball on the last and Wenty begin their own set.

Simple but effective stuff from the Magpies!

Kelly calls for the ball on the right and spotting the overlap, he quickly fires the ball out to Morgan who scoots past his opposite and (a tad surprisingly) finds Faraimo immediately to put the bullish winger into space.

Faraimo still has the fullback to beat but he simply over powers him and slams the ball down in the corber.

Mossop carts the ball up from the kickoff .

Wenty focus on winning the ruck this set and a great carry from Taniela Lasalo goes some way towards doing so.

The Magpies complete their set with an ineffective bomb that is swallowed up by the Cutters.

Good commitment from Wenty in their following defensive set. The pin the Cutters in their own half and give Hunt an easy take on his kick return.

Toutai and Ma'afu do some work early in the set before Kelly gets a little over zealous with a long ball and fires it forwards on the last.

Illawarra play-the-ball 20m out from their goal line.

The Cutters shoot for a 40/20 but Justin Hunt is awake to the kick and swiftly moves to cut the ball off.

Daniel Alvaro and Isaac Maliota are both on in the second prop rotation.

Kelly bombs it once more on the last and a solid chase from Morgan traps the fullback immediately after he secures the ball.

Faraimo retrieves the ball from the Illawarra kick and brings it back.

There is a messy play from an Alvaro charge but Wenty manage to somehow secure the loose ball before picking up a penalty.

Jones taps the ball and directs Maliota towards the defensive line.

Alvaro shows some footwork on an inside line but is pulled down.

Wenty spin it to their right, looking to put Morgan and Faraimo in an attacking opportunity but Morgan is taken in a good tackle by his opposite.

Hunt is in at first receiver on the following play and shapes to fire a long ball to the left. He holdsit up at the last moment and takes on the line, beating two poor attempts at tackle before fighting his way through the Illawarra fullback to pick up an early brace of meat pies.
