The Tigers are queuing up for the ball but Wenty are finally able to restrict them to a reasonable gain and get the ball back in a decent position.

Wenty can't make a dent in the fresh defensive line of the Tigers and Ben Jones gets the ball on the last and tries to lace a kick in down the right edge short side.

He is taken late in a nasty hit and Wenty pick up a penalty.

Alvaro takes the hit up from the resumption of play before Wenty spin it too their left.

Matterson can't link up with his outside men before the Tigers defenders jam on them so he take the tackle.

Wenty come back to their right where they eventually pick up another penalty.

Matterson throws a quality short ball to Edwards who pushes through half a gap and throws a nice pass of his own to Toutai but the nuggety centre can't quite get the ball over the line.

Wenty pick up six-again two tackles later as a Tigers' hand touches the ball and Ben Jones is finally able to engineer a breach in the West Tigers' defence with a very marginal cut out ball to Bureta Faraimo.

Faraimo is able to centre the ball to some degree.

A good run and quick attempt at playing the ball from Kenny Edwards earns a penalty for Wenty, who finally have something that resembles momentum in this game.

Wenty come down their right edge where Folau is barely chopped down at his ankles before Wenty get lost on their last.

The ball ends up with Faraimo who comes in field and finally rolls in a terrible grubber that is easily taken by the Tigers.

Koroibete nearly cracks Wenty open and threatens to go the length of the field before Ben Jones, Ualesi and Faraimo combine to pull him down.

The Magpies somehow survive the following onslaught and get the ball back.

Luke Kelly bombs it on the last tackle for Wenty and Matterson does well to give chase and bring down Hitchcox.

Wenty are able to hold their defensive line this set before Moses puts up a wicked torpedo bomb.

Pewhairangi, who has come on at fullback, wants nothing to do with it and lets it bounce. The Tigers regather it but Ualesi is on hand to intercept the following pass.

Wenty then pick up a penalty to go up to half way.

They are quite disorganised to start the set before Kenny Edwards invigorates the team with a surging run down the left. He links up with a sweeping Pewhairangi who in turn puts Goodall into space.

Goodall flies down the sideline but has the fullback infront on him and opts to fling the ball on the inside to a distant Matterson. The ball is good and Matterson goes on to score.

The conversion is successful.

What a diabolical weekend.

Another good carry to Fui, who has been one of the few standouts today for Wenty.

Kenny Edwards continues to up his involvement as he throws a nice cutout ball to Goodall to give him some space to move. Goodall pinches a good 20m before he is pulled down but alas, Wenty lose the ball on the next tackle.

The Tigers focus their attack down our right edge in this set but we are able to hold them out before Pewhairangi is able to navigate the tricky bounce of the Tigers' kick and get back in to the field of play.

Edwards once again provides the impetus for Wenty as he creates space for Goodall yet again and sends the massive winger into the back field. The ground announcer said it was Luke Kelly in support but I'm sure it was Ryan Matterson. Matterson races up on Goodall's inside to take a good pass and just beat some flying chasers to score in the corner.

The conversion is unsuccessful.

Fui continues to power through the middle of the Tigers, really good stuff and just in time for a likely recall.

Matterson completes a good set with a nice grubber that traps Hitchcox a few metres off his try line.

Folau barely mistimes his tackle on the fullback as he tries to defuse a Kelly bomb but it is enough for the ref to penalise him.

Strong work in the ruck from the Tigers in this set but Pewhairangi is able to take their last tackle kick bomb quite well.

The ref blows time off for as I believe John Folau receives treatment. Folau walks behind the in goals and comes off the field of play. It seems to be a problem with his left arm.

The ball is spilled by Wenty down their left and Jy Hitchcox scoops it up and heads centrefield.

He looks to be taken in a tackle but manages to flick an offload behind Faraimo to Koroibete who has too much toe for Luke Kelly down the sideline. Faraimo gives desperate pursuit and nearly pulls him down before the tryline but it just isn't enough and Marikia scores again.

The conversion is successful.

Wenty pick up a line drop out from the kick off as the Tigers misjudge the flight and let the ball go to bounce dead.

Faraimo brings the ball back and he is followed by Lasalo and Ma'afu.

Wenty then go to the left via Jones who bizarrely kicks back to the posts, despite having no one chasing.

The Tigers are more than happy to take the ball back and then begin to work it down field.

The Tigers earn a penalty after Moses is hit without a tackling attempt made after kicking the ball.

They have a full set in our red zone. They begin it by working over our right edge before spinning it to the other side of the field.

I haven't had many chances to say it today but Wenty scramble well and the Tigers fortuitously pick up another set as a stray pass just goes down off a Wenty hand.

Bit of nospam29 for the Tigers in this set and Wenty are able to hold them out for a few takckles before they very nearly breach our right edge once more.

Moses tries to score himself on the fourth but Wenty are finally showing some intensity on their line and wrap him up before killing the ball on the next tackle for a turnover.

Matterson makes a nice break down the left but can't quite find Pewhairangi on his inside. There looks to be a Tigers knock on in the clean up but the ref is happy to let play roll on.

The Tigers decide to get cute, with the benefit of a huge lead, and kick on the next tackle for Koroibete.

Faraimo is awake to the play and is forced to ground the ball for a line drop out.

The sheer weight of possession proves to be too much for Wenty and the #14, Michael Bullock, crashes over down our right off a short ball.
