Good set from the Tigers as they ruck it out strongly and find touch 10m out from Wenty's try line.

There is a miscue between Matterson and Edwards, as Matterson's inside ball is too far for Edwards to reach and he knocks it on.

The Tigers attack our right from the scrum and Koroibete looks to have scored again but the ref brings play back for a forward pass.

Not much on for Wenty this set as they struggle to cope with the line speed of the Tigers.

It all falls apart on the last as they spin it to no one centrefield before Vai Toutai ends up kicking in behind the defensive line for a turnover.

Edwards deflects a Sironen grubber and looks to be held back by Sironen from getting a play at the loose ball.

Hitchcox is on hand to pick up the ball for six again but with the game in its dying stages, he goes on a jaunt to our right edge. He links up with Moses who shows some lighting hands to get the ball to Lovett who in turns feeds the ball to Koroibete who finally completes his hat tick.

The conversion is successful.

Wests Tigers dft. Wenty 52-16

That wasn't much fun, it must be said.

Not many positives to pluck from the carcass of that game.

Fui was very good. He played what essentially mounted to a lone hand up the middle - on both sides of the ball. It is a timely return to form for the Parramatta cult hero, who is likely to be recalled to first grade in light of the Lussick injury and potential suspension of Allgood.

Elsewhere Kenny Edwards and Ryan Matterson both showed some class in the limited chances they were given. Our left edge on the whole was very good in the context of today's bloodbath, with nearly all of the tries coming down the other side of the field. It is small solace but the continued growth of Matterson as well as the strong return from injury by Edwards are at least something to be encouraged by.

He had a solid start to the game before an injury to his right knee sidelined him early in the game.

He had enough range of movement to be able to ride an exercise bike but to my knowledge he took no further part in the game.

Plenty of changes and what not for Wenty.

Fabian Goodall and Ryan Matterson are scheduled to make their first back-to-back appearances in the NSW Cup in what looks to be a sign of things for come for the rest of the year. John Folau might have joined them but he left the field in the second half with what looked to be an injury to his left arm.

Api Pewhairangi moves from the utility bench role to starting fullback while Ryan Morgan, Sam Gorman, Ben Smith, Liam Foran and Pat Mataele all make their returns to the team.

While it was a very disappointing effort by Wenty last week. Matterson looked dangerous for periods of the game. Along with Edwards, Matterson provided most of the few positives moments for Wenty.

Agreed.

When Wenty actually were able to temporarily get their shit together up the middle in the second half he, Edwards and Goodall caused plenty of problems for the right edge of the Tigers.

I was curious as to how close he was to a first grade call up before the injury to Peats. Now that Peats is gone for the season and Kelly is slotting in at hooker, Matterson could very well be the first drop half if anything happens to Sandow or Norman.

The eventual return of Pritchard could cause a reshuffle (by way of freeing up Kelly) but until then Matterson remains the only specialist half anywhere near ready.

I thought Daoud did OK for Wenty, very creative kicking game.

Looked pretty young tho but there is something there I reckon
