Good run from Vaeu to get the game rolling. Wenty look like they are making a good start to the game as Matt Hunt makes a half-break from dummy half.

The kick on the last skews off the side of the boot and Wenty regather it but are bundled into touch inside Manly's half.

Fritz picks off the Manly bomb inside our 10m zone before Wenty look to work it out.

Not many metres up for grabs this set and Wenty complete their set with a kick that finds Gutherson on the full.

Wenty's defence is holding up alright in the early stages of this match.

Dylon Gilbert defuses a bomb that is a tad too heavy, which allows him to take it ingoals for the 20m restart.

Moeakiola makes some good metres as Wenty attack down their right edge. They then spread to their left and find Danny Howard who goes close to touch line but manages to stay in.

Parata is at first receiver for the last tackle and puts up a well-weighted bomb. Manly take it but are driven ingoals for a line drop out.

Wenty don't threaten too much that set. They focused most of their efforts on Manly's right-edge before rolling in a weak grubber that is taken immediately by a Manly defender.

The Magpies then compound things off the Manly last tackle kick with a terrible attempt at trapping the ball near the side line by Hereketukutuku. The ref calls either knock-on or out on the Wenty 10m line with a Manly scrum.

The Manly half nearly catches Gilbert too far in field with a chip kick but Gilbert scrambles hard to take it on the full but it forced out ingoals for a drop out.

Oh dear, Jacob Gagan there with the complete butchering of a certain try.

Manly attack down our left-edge with the classic second man-to-full back play. They easily have numbers, as many as 2 or 3 in the overlap but Gagan drops the ball in contact as he tries to plant the ball.

Definitely some fortune for Wenty there.

Wenty march down the field in something of a counterattacking set as the rolled downfield at least 50-60m in that set.

They hoist a bomb on the last via Parata and Mau cleans up the catcher before the ref blows a penalty for a high shot.

Poor option from Manly on the left edge there. The centre forces an offload that didn't need to happen on our try line which gives us an easy turn over.

Good metres from POH there after he gets good service from Hunt. Parata throws a long, loopy cut out that gives Manly an age to slide and cover.

Gilbert fights through a defender before offloading away...the ball eventually ends up with Ryan who puts in an ordinary kick that trickles into touch.

Phew, Hereketukutuku gave me some worries there as he looked like he might have run into the post but he ends up easily taking a bomb in goals for the 20m restart.

Wenty makes big metres down their right edge with Mau and take their kick on the Manly 30m line. This time it isn't that bad a kick and we trap Manly in their 10m zone.

Now Manly attack down our left with some second phase play but we keep them in their half for the kick.
