Was that the jets the roosters feeder team? Lets hope they dont have players out for a long time (well actually lets).

Did they waste all of their money on SBW?

Newtown were quite strong last year. They knocked Wenty out in the finals before bowing out themselves the next week.

Some of the key talent that helped them get there are now first grade fixtures like Napa and Evans while others like Aiden Guerra, Nafe Seluini, Tim Arona and Henare Wells are no longer at the club.

Butler-Fleming comes in for Morgan (likely related to the ankle injury from Sunday) while Justin Hunt comes into the team surprisingly at hooker. This pushes Liam Foran to the bench and Ben Jones to the #18.

Santi is named in the starting team but pending which of Gower or Allgood get dropped from the extended bench in first grade he will likely drop back to the bench and push Mataele out of the team.

Well I'll be buttered on both sides. Chris Yates is the coach.
Here's a bit of trivia. Chris Yates played his junior footy in the same team as Arthur Brad. Arthur Ted was the coach. Arthur Ted used to wear footy shorts over the top of his track suit pants that were tucked into his socks. I'll never forget it. They didn't lose often.

3. HARMONY HUNT

wouldn't you be dirty on your parents if they called you Harmony ...sheeez
Better than Easter Egg. Or Mike.

Very interesting that Justin Hunt is named at 9, seems much more of a chance of a first grade bench spot at some point this year than Foran or Jones. Shame Morgan seems to be injured.

Plus Hunt is in the top 25, kicks goals, and too small to be suitable for the wing.

Not sure about his defence in the middle though.

Hunt use to be a half so has some experience defending closer in - plus he is about 6ft and 90kg + so has enough size to be able to handle it
